When the veteran Avengers felt the world would not remain peaceful for much longer, an initiative was carried out in recruiting children of heroes and villains alike to form the next generation of the Avengers

History

The Avengers Academy was founded many years ago during the age of heroes, but eventually was abandoned when threats to the world required less need for more heroes. The era has for the past twenty years been rather peaceful and left the facility closing down, including with lacking the need of the West Coast Avengers. But, after much discussion between the veteran Avengers, the Avengers Compound was once again to be reopened after a unanimous decision was made.

But, following the cleaning up and refurbishing of the Compound, it was discovered the list of recruits was far more extensive than initially thought. This led to the building of two additional facilities courtesy of the allies of the Avengers, Brian Braddock and T'Challa, the latter's own son being among the recruits.

Trivia

This universe borrows the similar idea of the Next Avengers movie with a next generation of Avengers of many of the current and past members of the original members present.
Due to the number of characters present, the author has decided to break up the characters into smaller teams, possibly resulting in multiple story titles in the future.

The original team was killed during a final stand to defend the country of Wakanda, one of the last strong holds upon Earth. As a result the Earth was missing it's most well known heroes for many years until the the situation began to leave many people in despair. Thus, Maria launched the new Young Avengers initiative, bringing in children of former heroes and Avengers to make up a new team. And so far, this new wave has brought upon some of the original Avengers' children to the forefront of the conflict and some from Avengers that joined later on.
