The Xavier Institute is a private school for mutants run by Charles Xavier.
Backgound[]
The Xavier Institue began at the Xavier Mansion, a mansion owned by the Xavier Family. It was passed down to Charles Xavier, the reknown mutant rights activist, who turned it into a safe haven for young mutant. As the school grew, it began to purchase nearby land, and grew into a large campus.
As time passed the Institue purchased several schools around the world, where mutants could go to school without persecution from anti-mutants, while the original school began limiting the amount of students it let in, letting in only those who did not live near one of the campuses around the world.
