Plot[]

While they are fighting in the public eye, Wolverine gets dragged into things by Magneto to take the fight straight to Mister Sinister.

Trivia[]

  • Mister Sinister appears in this film as the main antagonist who is secretly working with Senator Kelly and Bolivar Trask to thin out the weak mutants from the herd of his potential experiments.
  • Olivia Munn reprises her role as Psylocke in this film from X-Men: Apocalypse, however she plays a different iteration of the character. This makes her the second actor from the Fox X-Men universe to transfer over into the MCU, following Ryan Reynolds.
  • Olivia Munn also previously appeared in a cameo in Iron Man 2 as Chess Roberts, a reporter covering Tony Stark's Expo. This is retconned by explaining that Betsy Braddock is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent who was working undercover.
  • Northstar makes his MCU debut in this film, portrayed by Logan Lerman, as a love interest for Iceman.
  • Angel actually joins the X-Men in this film after previously appearing as a political prop in X-Men: the Mutant Menace.
  • References to Captain Britain are made in this film as Psylocke makes a few offhand comments about her brother.
  • The Wachowski Sisters return to write and direct this film.
