Trivia[]
- Apocalypse makes his MCU debut in this film played by Chris Obi, after previously appearing in Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse, played by Oscar Isaac, who now plays Doctor Doom in the MCU.
- Cable also makes his MCU debut in this film, after previously appearing in Fox's Deadpool 2, played by Thanos actor Josh Brolin. In this film, he is played by Dolph Lundgren, which fulfills Deadpool's prediction from the first Deadpool film, in which Dolph Lundgren was suggested alongside Mel Gibson and Keira Knightley.
- Despite being the main villains of the film, Apocalypse and his Horsemen are treated as the main characters, as they receive the majority of screentime. This was partially influenced by the treatment of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
- The only Horseman that remains consistent from Fox's Apocalypse is Archangel as Death.
- Daniel Dae Kim appears as Sunfire after previously being considered to play Namor, a role that ultimately went to Joe Taslim. Kim has previously appeared in small cameo roles in Hulk and Spider-Man 2.
- This is the first MCU X-Men film not to feature the word "Mutants" in the title.
