X-23 is a Disney+ original miniseries based off of the comics and character(s) of the same name and the nineteenth entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - MAX Phase 4.
Synopsis[]
When children from Xavier's School for the Gifted start disappearing in seeming covert snatch-and-grabs, Laura Kinney, aka the Wolverine, tracks down the culprit, scientist Malcolm Concord, to the criminal sanctuary of Madripoor. Intending to restart the Weapon-X program that created both her and her predecessor, the original Wolverine, Malcolm aggressively begins taking a foothold in the city. But the Ten Rings, who have since taken Madripoor as their base of operations, have no intention of going down quietly. Forming a tenuous alliance with the Rings, Laura carves a path of blood and violence to stop Malcolm.
Cast and Characters[]
Main Cast[]
- Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney / The Wolverine
A mutant who was created from the genes of James "Logan" Howlett, the original Wolverine, as a part of Weapon-X, designated "X-23" and possessing many of his same abilities: Slowed aging, regeneration, and an adamantium skeleton and claws. After escaping Genosha, and her universe, into Earth-616 she has joined the X-Men, but when she discovers that a variant of one of her own creators may be responsible for kidnapping mutant children and X-Men prospects, she sets out on a solo mission in far darker ground than the X-Men are typically used to. - Meng'er Zhang as Xu Xialing
Shang-Chi's younger sister and daughter of Wenwu, the Mandarin and original leader of the Ten Rings. She has since taken over and rebuilt the Ten Rings in Madripoor as a reigning criminal empire, though still adhering to her own personal code of honor. She quickly takes a liking to Laura following her arrival, and together they work to bring down Malcolm Concord. - Peter Capaldi as Malcolm Concord
A scientist who worked alongside William Stryker and Zandar Rice on Weapon-X and its derivative projects. It was his work with Rice that enabled the creation of mutants like Laura, aka "X-23", and he now seeks to restart the project in Madripoor and build his own personal army of mutant assassins. - Florian Munteanu as Mattias Sandor / Razor Fist
A Romanian assassin with a...well, razor fist, and the Ten Rings' top enforcer, undyingly loyal to Xialing. Despite his brutish appearance, he has a rather tacky sense of style and a kind heart, empathizing with Laura's quest in saving the kids.
Recurring Cast[]
- Jade Xu as Helena Pavlovna
A former Black Widow and Red Room assassin, now a Ten Rings lieutenant. She has a personal stake against Malcolm, as most of her soldiers are the ones being killed by his men. - Ronny Chieng as Jon Jon
Xialing's friendly and chipper right-hand-man. He has known her for a long time, ever since he helped her build her old underground fight club. - Josh Lucas as Alsop
A fixer in Madripoor who knows everyone and hears everything. - Brooke Williams as Karol Gibney / Wild Child
A mutant created by Malcolm and his top henchman, possessing the same abilities as Laura.

A silent mutant wearing a Japanese Oni mask who fights for Malcolm. He can telekinetically control his numerous katanas. - Tony Leung as Xu Wenwu
Xialing's father, who appears in flashbacks. - Matt Bomer as Eli Brand
An once-thought-dead immortal who appears to be Malcolm's secret benefactor. - James McAvoy as Charles Xavier
The leader of the X-Men and the most powerful telepath on the planet.
