History[]
Early Life[]
James Howlett was born from the relationship of Elizabeth Howlett and the gardener of the Howlett family, Thomas Logan, in 1885. As a teenager, James first met the red-haired Rose, who became a friend for James and his Dog friend, who was the son of Thomas the gardener. Over time, however, the friends' relationship deteriorated due to the fact that Thomas pressed his son with his opinion that the Howlets were unworthy of what they had. Bullying James, the Dog and his father were expelled from the estate. Returning in the dead of night with a gun, the Logans attacked the Howlets and killed James' father. At that moment, James developed a mutation and sharp bone claws came out of his hands. He accidentally stabbed Thomas Logan with them, and then severely wounded Dog. In delirium, his mother chased her son away and James and Rose fled the estate.
1900s[]
Rose and James made it to the mining camp, where Rose introduced James as Logan. Unable to remember anything from stress, James adopted this name and began working at the mine. Distinguished by his endurance, James became friends with the mine boss Smitty. He supported Logan and one day the guy challenged cook Malone to battle, as Malone had humiliated James and bullied him all these years. It happened on the night when Smitty, who had fallen in love with Rose, planned to drive away with her. That same night, a grown-up Great Dane, hired to search for Logan, arrived at the mine. Having bared his claws in a fight with a Great Dane, Logan was going to kill him, but Rose got in the way of Logan's claws and he accidentally killed her. From severe stress, Logan's mind turned off altogether and the guy ran away from the camp into the woods. There he spent several years hunting with a pack of wolves. By the end of the decade, Logan encountered a mutated bear. By killing the bear, Logan proved himself and attracted the attention of Nathaniel Essex. Logan managed to escape from Nathaniel, but as a result, Logan ended up in the circus, where he became the main exhibit. At the circus, the silent Logan communicated only with Clara and Saul Creed.
1910s[]
A few years later, Logan and the Creeds left the circus. In New York, they were attacked by Essex's men. In the heat of battle, Logan pierced Clara with his claws and considered her dead. Saul took Logan to Essex, where they were going to capture him, but Logan managed to escape and attack Saul, realizing that Saul was a traitor. Going to kill Saul, Logan met a living Clara, who was horrified by Logan's actions and asked him to leave. Logan, after some time of solitude, was in Japan and encountered Sabretooth. Sabretooth later killed the girl Logan was living with in Canada at the time.
1920-1940s[]
For several decades, Logan simply wandered the world, not getting old and not finding a place for himself. He met many heroes, and during World War II he worked with Captain America and his companions. After the end of World War II, Logan went to Japan, where he hoped to find his redemption and peace by getting rid of the warrior in his soul. There, in Japan, Logan fell in love with a local woman with whom they conceived a child. But a pregnant woman was killed by Winter Soldier in 1946, leaving Logan completely broken and lost.
1950-1960s[]
Once again wandering the world without a purpose, Logan goes to the Vietnam War in the hope of simply dying there. Nevertheless, in 1961, his abilities are revealed to the government and he is enrolled in the X Team under the Weapons X program. Without leaving Vietnam, Logan carried out government missions, and then underwent procedures for changing memories, after which Logan went on missions again. At a certain point in time, Logan was endowed with an adamantium skeleton, after receiving which Logan escaped into the woods. After leaving for the north, he was found by the government of Canada and was enrolled in the Alpha Flight team, where he remained for a long time, volunteering for the government of his own country.
1970s[]
In 1974, Wolverine was sent to battle the Hulk. By engaging in battle with the green giant, Logan distracted the Hulk from the Canadian military defenseless in front of the Hulk. The third party in this fight turned out to be Wendigo, whom Wolverine set the Hulk against. With the help of the Hulk, Wolverine killed Wendigo, and then attacked the Hulk again, but he turned out to be so angry that his strength was enough to stun Wolverine. A few months after this event, Charles Xavier arrived at Logan, who persuaded Logan to join the X-Men and Wolverine left Canada, traveling with Charles Xavier.
1980-1990s[]
Working with the X-Men, Wolverine found a common language with many of them and experienced many adventures and losses, the greatest of which was the meeting with Marika Yashida and her death. After that, Logan died in battle with the Onslaught along with the rest of the X-Men located near the epicenter of the explosion. After Wolverine's death, scientists from the Weapon X project were able to create a clone girl from a sample of his DNA, which they were going to use for their own purposes as an assassin.
