Colonel William Stryker, Sr., M.D. is the head of Weapon X, and the leader of the anti-mutant conspiracy within the U.S. Government. He is under a belief that he is destined to eradicate "mutant threats" and that he has been ordained by God to do so, a trait he passed on to his son, William Stryker, Jr..
He hired Canadian professor Andre Thorton (real name Truett Hudson) to lead the scientists into grafted Adamantium onto the bones of Wolverine and other mutants.
He gave his grandson Jason a lobotomy, after he used his powers to torture his parents, causing his daughter-in-law Kate to commit suicide.
He's based on the Ultimate Marvel version and the movie incarnation of William Stryker, Jr..
