History

The history the man called "Waterman" was mostly unknown. He was a human-atlantean hybrid who mysteriously had the added abilities of hydrokinesis and electrokinesis. He also wielded Poseidon's Trident.

He was among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift, but was kidnapped by Dark Gwenpool. Taken to the Gutter Space, Dark Gwenpool stole his memories before returning him to Battleisland. Found by War Machine, the young man was recruited into the Avengers Alliance to oppose the reality's tyrannical ruler: God Emperor Doom. It was here that he was given the codename Waterman.

Gwenpool, a variant of Dark Gwenpool who had joined the Avengers, eventually confronted her counterpart and learned the truth about Waterman's condition. Waterman and the rest of those she kidnapped were gathered by Fastforward. Determined to get their memories back, he created a team called The Absolutes with the mission of stopping Dark Gwenpool.
