History[]
Early Years[]
Virginia "Pepper" Potts (born February, 1977) was the first child and daughter born to Virgil Potts and his wife, Patricia Potts. The former of whom was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, though his family thought he worked for the F.B.I., who died in the line of duty when Pepper was only eight years old. As such the father figure in her life became her uncle, Morgan. A local cop who saw Pepper through several tough periods during her younger years as she grew into adulthood. A gesture she greatly appreciated. This also gave Pepper a small interest in law enforcement. But at the request of her mother, who was scared to death Pepper might end up like her father, she dismissed the idea of a career in that field. But having always been one to seek new challenges Pepper decided to pursue a career in business. As such she went to college and earned herself a business degree. But after graduation she found the corporate world extremely hard to break into, especially because of her gender and looks. Which caused many to either look down on her or assume she would bend to their will to get ahead. However Pepper did neither of these and stood resolute to her beliefs. But with bills to pay she decided to use her looks to her advantage and moved to Los Angeles to become a model. A job she only did until she landed a corporate job with none other than Stark Industries.
Making An Impression[]
After getting hired by Stark Industries Pepper found herself working as an administrative assistant in the finance department. That is until one day when she noticed a number of errors on some financial projections she was reviewing and reported it to her superiors, only for them to dismiss her and then fire Pepper after she persisted in her efforts to get them to notice the errors. Faced with this Pepper took matters a step further and made her way to the CEO's office, where she personally confronted Anthony Stark with her findings. Impressed by this Tony offered her a job as his personal assistant on the executive floors, which she accepted. Tony also gave her the nickname Pepper when she threatened his security with imaginary Pepper Spray.
