History

Quote1 Well, if I couldn't save the world as a businesswoman... maybe it's time for a more hands on approach. Quote2
Vicki Potts

Vicki Potts was originally Tony Stark's personal assistant while she was taking business classes. Over the years, the two of them formed a very close friendship, and even had crushes on each other at varying times.

She stuck by him through everything, becoming Iron Man, joining the Avengers, and even traveling to the future and back with warning of the end of the world. One such prophecy from the future included Stark Industries going bankrupt and being bought out by Norman Osborn, so in an attempt to prevent this, he hands over control of the company to Vicki. While she initially does a good job running the company, she could not stop the market from plummeting, which eventually results in the company going under. With no other options, Vicki was forced to sell to Oscorp.

Feeling like she was partially at fault for adding to the end of the world, she approached Tony asking for help to rectify her mistakes. He was then ecstatic to build her a suit of armor, which led to her joining the Avengers as Rescue. After working together fighting to save the world, the two finally began a relationship.
