History

Never seen anything like this. I'm a physicist, not a biologist. (...) Don't let of that get on you. (...) It has the characteristics of a symbiote which needs to bond with a host to survive and sometimes when these creatures in nature, when they bond, they can be hard to unbind.

From a unknown planet, Venom was a symbiote that was sent from a meteor that crashed landed on Earth in New York. It came into contact with Spider-Man and when it did, it changed Spider-Man's appearance and personality. Making him hostile to many of the people around him, of course, the symbiote was rejected off of Spider-Man from a bell tower that caused it to bond with Eddie Brock, who was also angry with Peter.

During the night, Venom kidnapped Mary Jane Watson to attract Spider-Man to his presence. He managed to get him to follow him, where he attempted to kill him, however Eddie was released from the symbiote, where half of it was killed when Eddie attempted to bond back with it when Spider-Man threw a goblin grenade at it.

A small piece of the active symbiote was captured by Curtis Connors.
