Venom is a alien symbiote who was created by Knull, along with his brothers, Carnage, Toxin, Anti-Venom, and Poison, along with more than 50,000 symbiotes. When Knull abandoned the symbiotes, he was soon sent away to Earth to find a new host. He landed on the moon. The symbiote was eventually found by John Jameson and his crew after they found out that there was a new species out there in space. The symbiote attached itself to the spacecraft and the ship shut down, falling to Earth. Spider-Man saved the spacecraft. While Spidey was distracted, the symbiote attached to his suit, unnoticed. It bonded with the hero, giving him better strength, speed, agility, and making him better at life. Spider-Man eventually discovered that the symbiote was taking him over and making him hurt his friends. He took it off. The symbiote, then found a new host and bonded with him to get revenge on Spider-Man for rejecting it.
