As a lot of Marvel fans know, Stan Lee happens to use the phrase "Excelsior!" as his sign off. But what exactlly does it mean? Well, I decided to look it up.
The Dictonary states that Excelsoir means:
- fine curled wood shavings used especially for packing fragile items
- still higher —motto of New York
In my opinion, he probably means the second one, as most of the heroes in Marvel reside in New York City. Anyways, if you guys wanted to know what he meant, there is it.

Since I wanted to do this, I decided I wanted to post the lyrics to the original Spider-Man theme. I had to listen carefully during the song to write these lyrics down!
