When the being known as the Silver Sentry discovered a place outside the multiverse called the Nexus, he used his newfound power to pull together a team of various beings of power from across multiple realities. One such team formed ended up being dubbed the Squadron Supreme. While Team X took on the more noble missions, it fell upon the Squadron to perform the dirty deeds no noble hero would be comfortable doing.
