Plot[]

Concept art of Kraven the Hunter

After having his secret identity outed to the world and framed as Mysterio's killer, Peter Parker has been on the run and in hiding ever since, trying to protect his loved ones from his enemies. However, things take a turn for the worse when he is tracked and abducted by a madman called Kraven the Hunter, who releases Spider-Man into a jungle arena with the Rhino so that he can have the hunt of his life!

  • In the film, Morgan Stark calls Peter "Uncle Peter", which makes him struggle not to cry.
  • Jason Momoa appears in this film as Kraven the Hunter, making the switch from DC to Marvel after previously playing Aquaman.
  • Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Thor all make cameo appearances at the end of the film to clear Spider-Man's name and officially welcome him into the Avengers.
  • This film features the debuts of two classic Spider-Man love interests, Gwen Stacy and Felicia Hardy, aka the Black Cat. Since Peter has been keeping his distance from Mary Jane, he comes into contact with the Black Cat, who is infatuated with the scandal surrounding him. He meets Gwen Stacy while running from her father, Captain George Stacy, who is hunting him down.
  • Ned Leeds sacrifices himself in this film to save Peter's life from Kraven, who ends up escaping afterward, which results in Peter swearing to hunt him down.
  • Norman and Harry Osborn also make their debut in this film, with Norman funding the hunt for Spider-Man and Harry becoming Mary Jane's new boyfriend and essentially Peter's new rival.
  • Flash Thompson spends the entire film leading the "Clear Spider-Man's Name" cause, which results in him coming into conflict with Mary Jane and Harry.
