Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage is the first film of Phase Ten of the Marvelette Cinematic Universe. It was released on April 17th, 2037, following Wonder Man and preceding Deadpool Destroys the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is directed by Drew Goddard.

Plot[]

After the Venom symbiote abandons Flash Thompson to produce an offspring that bonds to psycho killer Cletus Kasady, Spider-Man has to face his greatest fears and take on his deadliest foe yet! Can Peter Parker do this alone, or will he have to admit he needs the help of his friends?

  • This is the seventh and final film in the MCU Spider-Man franchise.
  • Phil Lord and Christopher Miller did not return to direct this film. They were instead replaced by Drew Goddard, former showrunner of the Netflix Daredevil series, who was once hired to develop a Sinister Six film for Sony.
  • Black Cat makes her first appearance since Spider-Man: No Place Like Home.
  • Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock from the film Venom, but it is vaguely confirmed that he plays a different iteration of the character in this film.
  • Although Tom Hardy returns, Woody Harrelson does not come back to play the role of Carnage. Instead, he was recast with Jackie Earle Haley in the role.
  • This film features the Death of Aunt May.
  • Robert Downey, Jr. produces this film, after previously producing Avengers vs X-Men.
  • Deadpool's appearance in the post-credits scene leads directly into Deadpool Destroys the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • Christopher Young, the film's composer, is most known for composing horror films such as Sinister and Pet Sematery. He was hired to properly convey the sense of terror Carnage brings with him.
