History

Quote1 I was never even really, technically a super hero. Why the hell am I here? This is bullsh*t. Quote2
-- Scott Lang

Scott Lang was hired as Hank Pym's personal assistant and engineer after he was released from prison. He was also eventually asked to temporarily fill in as Ant-Man whenever Hank was indisposed.

However, after Apocalypse rose to power, Scott was too terrified to help out. He instead went into hiding and tried to move his daughter, Cassie, out of the United States. Unfortunately, he was tracked down by the Armada due to his ties to S.H.I.E.L.D. and he and his daughter were both captured.

In the ensuing chaos, they became separated and Scott was imprisoned in the Sphinx, a death camp for former superheroes. When the Black Widow tried to stir up a rebellion, Scott tried to get on board for his daughter's sake, but was always too anxious to really do anything.

Then eventually the fateful day came when news of Mister Sinister's death spread to the death camps. A mass execution order was then given to the Sphinx by the Archangel. Scott, and everyone else imprisoned there, were then marched into a Terrigenesis Chamber and exposed to the Mists, where they all died, due to lacking Inhuman DNA.
