Romanov is an series focusing on Alexei Romanov, the brother of the Black Widow.
Episodes and Plot[]
Episode 1 (The Black Widow): Before the events of Endgame Natasha reveals to us that she downloaded the Red Room's database. In this database she finds out about the existence of Alexei Romanov, who was sold to Hydra's Project Revenant. She looks up Project Revenant and you next see her in her white suit in an helicopter above Siberia, beneath her there's a huge fortified base. She jumps out of the helicopter to go there. She sneaks in to see a group of young boys within being exposed to types of drugs enhancing them. She goes further to enter the system and then a group of boys enter the room. After an long battle Natasha comes out victorious. The system shows her which cell Alexei is located in and she heads there. She opens the door to find Alexei attacking him. Alexei is more skilled than the boys she fought earlier, she talks to Alexei but eventually gets out of the area and closes the door not knowing what to do. On the other side of the room Madame Hydra is waiting for her. After an confrontation Madame Hydra knocks Natasha out and locks her in a cell. When Natasha wakes up they talk until Alexei sneaks up to Madame Hydra and stabs her in the chest.
Episode 2 (The White Widow): 5 years later its 2026 Alexei is 14. He is sparring against Dante Cruz in an Fitness Center in Ocean City where Yelena Belova compliments him and asks him his name. Alexei answers Alexei Romanov to which Yelena smirks in disbelief and says something like "Sure, Alexei Romanov". Hydra soldiers storm in trying to capture Alexei again to which Alexei reveals that he gets attacked a lot. He kills the hydra agents easily. Yelena starts believing Alexei while Alexei talks about having killed their leader. Yelena asks about where he learned fighting like that and he answers Project Revenant. Eventually the conversation gets about shutting down Hydra to which Alexei answers he can't just take them down alone. To which Yelena reveals her suit and Alexei calls her the White Widow. To which Yelena says Black Widow. Together they plan on attacking the base in Siberia and freeing all of the people of Project Revenant. Meanwhile a squad of Hydra agents lead by Gorgon was about to attack. They had intel that Alexei was with an Black Widow and decided to take 2 for 1 mission. Yelena and Alexei notice the Hydra agents arriving and Yelena tells Alexei to run. Together they run but get attacked. They jump on cars to which Gorgon sends the agents. Yelena and Alexei decide they could take the agents and have an battle on top of the traffic. Eventually they come out on top. Together they fight Gorgon. Eventually Gorgon tries to turn them into stone but Alexei shows his sword causing him to see his own reflection and turning himself in stone. Alexei breaks into the Hydra vehicle to head towards Siberia.
Episode 3 (The Hawkeye): Eventually they arrive in New York where Yelena wants to meet a friend in the form of Kate Bishop. When arriving they see an empty apartment where Kate is busy refurnishing. After a long conversation Alexei sees Hydra Agents entering the street. Alexei tells Kate to stay of the grid for the while and he opens the window to climb on the roof. Alongside Yelena they run across the roof and run off. Kate waits a second and decides to follow them. Eventually they arrive at an Yacht Club on City Island. They decide to "borrow" an ship and make it ready. Kate asks who these people where and why Hydra wasn't destroyed around the same time as Sokovia. Alexei decides the boat is ready and they leave only to see a massive Hydra ship at Port Washington North. Together they sneak on board and kill Hydra Agents. Eventually they take over the ship and destroy it and all weapons on it at Boston.
Episode 4 (Madame Hydra): At Boston Airport they let Kate behind, steal a plane and fly it. Which seems that Yelena isn't skilled at. Eventually they jump out of the plane letting the plane crash into the mountains. They enter the base, most agents are teens and the base looks more advanced. Within the base Gorgon is waiting for them. Yelena beats some agents while Alexei climbs into the ventilation. He is shocked as Gorgon is talking to Madame Hydra. He charges at Madame Hydra recklessly and starts fighting her until Gorgon attacks him and knocks him out. Yelena tries to contact Alexei but hears Madame Hydra talking to her. Eventually Yelena frees a lot of agents only for them to start chasing her. Yelena gets cornered in a room with Gorgon. After an extended battle/chase with Yelena mostly dodging Hydra Yelena also gets captured.
Episode 5 (Gorgon): Eventually both of them are locked up on a ship to be transferred to Human Traffickers. With an group of Revenants guarding them. One of them is a speedster who we know as Speed. Eventually an helicopter finds them shooting rockets at the ship. The Revenants get outside to attack. Yelena started freeing herself while Alexei reveals to be free for a while now. Someone jumps out of the helicopter and he, the Red Guardian tries knocking the Revenants out while not going hard on them since they are just children. You can hear Melina Vostokoff speaking in the helicopter about her seeing her daughter. Together they fight Gorgon who is on the ship. After a long battle they throw Gorgon into the ocean. After that the Red Guardian asks who Alexei is to which Alexei says his name. Eventually when they are at the coast again Alexei walks off to find Madame Hydra and his father.
Post Credit-Scenes:
- Episode 1: You see Alexei after the events of Avengers: Endgame reacting to Nathasha's death on the news. Once again showing how no one knew about his connection with Nathasha.
- Episode 5
- Mid Credit-Scene: You see Alexander Aaron being trained by Amatsu-Mikaboshi using the sword Grasscutter.
- Post Credit-Scene: You see Thomas Stepherd vaporize his school.
