History

When Bobby Ridgeway was little, he showed amazing abilities in gymnastics, dance, martial arts and basically any skill that was based on moving the body with precision. His father was so excited by his son's prodigious talent that he had Bobby tested to see if he was a mutant. Doctor Ridgeway was so disappointed to learn that his son was merely a 100% human prodigy and not a mutant in the slightest. His disappointment was the final straw that caused Carol to file for divorce and move away. Carol had never been that great of a mother to begin with and Carol did nothing to preserve her relationship with her son. Bobby was left completely in the care of Doctor Ridgeway.

Doctor Ridgeway decided to not be daunted by these setbacks and decided to train his son Bobby to be a private eye and crimefighter. Bobby went along with it although he was never really sure if it was what he wanted to do or if he did it just to please his father. However, at nine, Bobby received a little fame under his hero identity of Acrobat Adept by stopping a car full of bank robbers and tying them up single-handedly. He struggled along for the next several years proving that he had enough skill to challenge criminals but having only a minimal impact.

When he was 17, he attended the unveiling of a robot invented by his Godfather that was supposed to help him be more successful. The robot exploded and in the events that immediately followed, Acrobat Adept found himself having a team of allies instead of a robot helping him be more successful. He also found himself in the role of a second in command because he was the only member of the team to have any experience. Acrobat Adept continues to question whether this is what he wants to do with his life but he is very happy to no longer have to do it alone.
