When Bruce was 5 years old, his mother couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave with Bruce but Brian caught her and brutally beat her until she was no longer breathing, he was going to kill Bruce too until a neighbor saw what he did and called the police, Brian was arrested and Bruce was sent to live with his aunt Julie and cousin Jennifer in Brooklyn.

Bruce and Jennifer were very close as children until Bruce left for college at 17.

Working for S.H.I.E.L.D

After Bruce had finished college at age 20, he was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D, they told him they were interested in his work and if he was interested in working at S.H.I.E.L.D, this was a chance in a lifetime and Bruce happily accepted. Bruce Banner was assigned to try and recreate the Super Soldier Serum or even update it, Bruce spent 3-Years trying to recreate it but failed every time.

Meeting the Sentinel of Liberty

A few weeks after, Bruce Banner had taken a break from working on the Super Soldier Serum, he had found out S.H.I.E.L.D had found Captain America, Bruce went to the Triskelion as soon as possible and saw Captain America defrosted, Nick Fury then explained to Captain America that he was in the year 2012. A few days later after the news sunk into Captain America, Bruce asked if he could take a sample and Steve agreed. Later on Bruce made a cocktail with Steve's blood, attempting to update it and exposed it to gamma rays, Bruce then injected himself with it. Bruce then felt uncomfortable and felt ill, Bruce asked Fury if he could take the day off he was free to go. As Bruce was entering Manhattan he passed out in the street and was taken to the hospital, the doctors saw his heart was beating at an extreme rate and before you know it Bruce had transformed into a beast.

Destruction of Manhattan

Hulk's first transformation

Hulk unleashed for the first time

Bruce as the Hulk, went on a rampage and destroyed Manhattan killing millions of people. The Hulk was Bruce's inner childhood with all of his rage bottled up from his abusive father, released as the Hulk causing him to have a tantrum. After hours of destroying property, Iron Man and Thor came in and Hulk battled them with ease, he was able to lift up Thor's hammer and destroyed Iron Man's armor, and then Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow they all fought Hulk but Hulk was winning until, Nick Fury had found out Bruce Banner was Hulk and got all of his notes and made a cure, and then sent it down to Captain America, while Hulk was to busy strangling Thor, Captain America jumped on his back and stabbed the serum into him causing Hulk to revert back to Bruce, Bruce was then taken into S.H.I.E.L.D custody.

Bruce in custody

2 Months Later, Doc Ock escaped S.H.I.E.L.D and decided to release everyone from custody, including Banner. Banner would have to make the choice: Stay in a cell forever or leave and become a fugitive. Bruce decided freedom and left and went on the run.

Discovering a possible cure

Bruce relocated to Brazil, to find peace he changed his name to David Bixby so he couldn't be located. Bruce had possibly found a cure for the Hulk he'd tested it on himself but failed miserably and he'd turned into the Hulk but this time he was grey and even bigger and he destroyed half of the town he was currently living in. Bruce then went to Mexico and changed his name to Bill Banker.

Hulk Earth-1315

Current Hulk

After discovering some Chitauri activity and possibly they were planning an attack on Earth, Nick Fury needed to fight fire with fire and started sending S.H.I.E.L.D agents to look for Banner. They found him less than 2 months later, Nick Fury told Banner that he needed the Hulk's help, Bruce declines and states the Hulk is uncontrollable, Fury says maybe they can't control the Hulk but maybe they could aim him, Bruce seeing the logic in this and hoping to prove Fury wrong if this failed agreed to temporarily join the Avengers. Less than a week later the Chitauri attacked and the Avengers were ready, Hulk was tamed and did incredibly well. After the battle Nick Fury offered him a place at the Avengers as an on-going member, Bruce agreed.

Back to green

Once again searching for a Hulk cure, Bruce had attempted the serum on himself which failed and caused Bruce to transform at the S.H.I.E.L.D Triskelion. The Hulk's appearance was different this time though, the Hulk had shrunk in height to about 8'8 and returned to green. The Hulk was angry but didn't cause as much damage. When Bruce transformed back, Nick Fury told Bruce that the serum may not have cure the Hulk but it made the Hulk more 'tolerant' and 'mindful'.

Dark Avengers

Hulk vs Abomination

Hulk vs Abomination

Once again while Bruce was researching for another cure for the Hulk, an explosion occurred and Bruce was crushed by the wreckage, Bruce trying to hold in his anger was then approached by a Hulk-like creature, who revealed himself to be Emil Blonsky. To torture Bruce he destroyed all of his research, this enraged Bruce and he transformed into the Hulk. The Hulk attacked Blonsky now going by the name of Abomination. Clint Barton helped Hulk but Barton then left to help Thor defeat Loki, Hulk then battled Abomination, Abomination proved a worthy match for the Hulk but the angrier Hulk got the stronger he got, eventually Hulk was angry enough to become superior to Abomination and Hulk eventually killed Abomination and ripped off his arms, legs and head and throwing his corpse at Baron Zemo knocking him out, Hulk then leapt away to be left alone. Hulk then arrived in South America and reverted back to Bruce. S.H.I.E.L.D then later found Bruce and asked if he'd like to come back, Bruce declined stating he needed some time off and away to master the Hulk instead of curing him as he knew there were no more options left for Banner.

Mastering the Hulk's anger

Bruce controlling the Hulk

Bruce finally mastering the Hulk's power and rage

Bruce eventually traveled to Tibet to meditate with the monks seeing as they could probably help him with his "condition". Bruce spent a year in Tibet eventually in 2013, Bruce finally meditated enough to tap into a spirit form and visit his mind, he eventually met the Hulk himself and bonded with the Hulk and the two became one spiritually and mentally. Bruce later then returned to the Avengers in order to make-up for the Hulk's deeds and bless the world with his scientific creations. First Bruce made an appropriate outfit for the Hulk since ripped shorts wouldn't do and he needed something appropriate for the Hulk's publicity. After Bruce and Hulk had become one mentally, Bruce became more charismatic and had more of an ego when it came to intelligence even comparing himself to that of Tony Stark and Reed Richards.

In 2025, President John Damien saw Hulk as a threat to national security and had Banner attacked by the army, Bruce transformed into the Hulk and fought them off but was later subdued. Bruce eventually woke up and found himself in a ship coursing for the Sun, Bruce quickly transformed into the Hulk and ripped out of his imprisonment and wrecked the ship sending it to a nearby planet; Sakaar.

Life on Sakaar

Bruce remained transformed as the Hulk on the planet, knowing Hulk didn't need oxygen to survive and therefor could survive on the planet. The planet was situated near a portal, which gave it access to several different cultures and technologies. The Hulk was captured and became a gladiator. Hulk ushered an uprising, overthrowing the current regime. Installing himself as king, the Hulk met and fell in love with a queen named Caiera Oldstrong. Together, they ushered in a new age of peace and prosperity for Sakaar. Caiera became pregnant with the Hulk's child, but died when the shuttle that brought the Hulk to Sakaar suddenly exploded, killing millions of people, Hulk was also believed to be dead.

Hulk awakening

Hulk reawakening

It was revealed that Hulk was indeed not dead, he had been induced in a coma. After 13-years of "rest", the Hulk finally awoke with all of his garments burned off, and enough time for his hair to grow back even longer than before. The Hulk saw that Sakaar had become a former wasteland and all life seemed to be "extinct". Enraged, the Hulk wanted revenge for the death of his wife, unborn child and all life on Sakaar. Hulk built a new armor to replace his old one, cut his hair and began building a ship to return to Earth. After a month, the Hulk rebuilt his ship and set a course for Earth and vengeance.

Return to Earth

Hulk arriving on Earth

After arriving on Earth. Bruce lost control of the Hulk and so Hulk's intelligence had reduced causing him to go on one of his infamous rampages. The superhero team known as The Ultras arrived, Hulk dispatched of them easily but then another Hulk-like being attacked Hulk claiming himself to be Ira. Hulk and Ira fought for hours, although the two proved too powerful for each other and eventually both defeated each other at the same time, the two reverted back to normal. Bruce having been in Hulk form for 13-years had forgot how to walk and immediately collapsed on the floor, Bruce thanked the now-human Ira for not making him do anything stupid and asked him him what his name was, the human Ira replied with "I am Skaar...your son...", before Bruce could say anything he passed out from exhaustion. Later Bruce awoke in a holding cell and Bruce requested to see Skaar, Bruce asked if Skaar was really his son to which Skaar said yes. Bruce then claimed the two had a lot of catching up to do.

Powers and Abilities

Superhuman Strength: The Hulk possesses the capacity for nearly limitless physical strength and the uppermost limit of the Hulk's vast strength remains a mystery. He has proven strong enough to break a needle composed of the Ultra Marvel Universe's version of Adamantium. In times of stress the Hulk's adrenaline level escalates, causing a corresponding escalation in strength. This is not accompanied by an additional gain in mass, but does appear to promote increased levels of energy efficiency. To date the Hulk has never apparently been provoked into demonstrating a maximum output of strength, hence his upper limit remains a mystery. However, whatever the limit, it is well in excess of 100 tons. The Hulk's great strength also extends into the highly developed muscles of his legs and allow him to jump great distances such as leaping across continents and into lower Earth orbit . Currently the single longest recorded jump is upwards of 3 miles. Adaptation: Hulk is capable of adapting to inhospitable environments when ever it becomes necessary. There were many occasions where hulk not only survived airless areas, but has also spoken in them. same as his healing factor, the angrier hulk gets, the faster he adapts.

Self Sustenance: Hulk's physiology allows him to survive indefinitely without food, water, air or sleep after he has adapted.

Underwater breathing: Hulk has the ability to breath under water because his glands develop an oxygenated per-fluorocarbon emulsion which fills his lungs and equalizes the pressure

Superhuman Stamina: The Hulk's body counteracts fatigue poisons; while fighting others in an enraged state, he can maintain peak output for hours on end and still continue to become even stronger as his anger escalates. He has swum the Atlantic Ocean from the Eastern Seaboard of the USA to France without rest.

Superhuman Durability: In addition to great strength, the Hulk's body possesses a high degree of resistance to injury, pain, and disease. The Hulk's skin is capable of withstanding great heat without blistering, great cold without freezing, and tremendous levels of physical trauma. The Hulk's resistance to harm has extended to the point where he can withstand a zero point detonation of a nuclear weapon. He has also been able to resist Jovian atmospheric pressures.

Regenerative Healing Factor: The Hulk is capable of regenerating damaged or destroyed areas of his body with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. Wounds that would be deadly to most other creatures take a short period time for the Hulk to recover. The Hulk's highly efficient physiology renders him immune to all known Earthly diseases.

Superhuman speed: Hulk has been seen running at speeds greater than 200mph

Bruce Banner is a brilliant scientist with extensive knowledge of human anatomy. He is also a highly rated expert in radiation and its effects on the human body. The Hulk, while having no formal training, is a formidable hand to hand combatant simply due to his great physical attributes. He typically uses street fighting and brawling techniques that make full use of his strength.

Strength level

Ultra Hulk has been seen to engage and overpower the Abomination during the invasion of the Liberators as well as engaging and nearly overwhelming a combined force of two versions of Squadron Supreme, the Ultra X-Men, the Ultra Fantastic Four and Ultra Avengers before being narrowly defeated. He has been rated as having a strength level in excess of 100 tons.
