Robert Herschel Robertson is the copy editor and vice-chair of the Daily Bugle Newspaper. More commonly known as Robbie, Robertson has been employed by the Bugle since the days of J. Jonah Jameson's father, starting off as an errand boy and then later being promoted to a beat writer at City Hall. An English Major in college, Robertson has a knack for languages, speaking at least three additional languages besides English. He has also been said to have a wife and a teenage son.
Little is known about Robbie's past outside of working for the Bugle, although he is rumored to have had dealings with a crime family in New York other than the Manfredi's. Whatever the cause, Robbie is perhaps the only person that Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson trusts with the business end of his paper. Robbie has tempered many of Jameson's more baser instincts when it comes to his paper, in particular his tirades against super heroes such as Iron Man. While Robbie doesn't express his own opinion concerning them one way or another, he does see their exploits as good business, and it was ultimately him who convinced Jonah to put out an ad for a cash reward for pictures of the newest hero, Spider-Man. This is what led to Peter Parker's (who in reality was Spider-Man) part-time employment with the Bugle.

- Accomplished Linguist: Robbie Robertson, owing to his vast experience as a reporter and editor, has a command of the English language and speaks at least three more.
- Temperment: Robbie is an adept businessman, even if he doesn't handle the day to day finances of the Daily Bugle. He is also able to steer the normally volatile J. Jonah Jameson into profitable directions when Jameson's temper might lead him astray.
