History[]
Peter Jason Quill (born March, 1981) was the only child of Earth woman Meredith Quill and the then Emperor of the Spartax Empire, J'son. Who crash landed on Earth while evading Badooon's, who wanted to end the royal bloodline of the empire due to the Spartax/Badoon war occurring at the time. Though that didn't happen, and although he loved Meredith because he was duty-bound J'son left Earth to continue the intergalactic war he was embroiled in and bring it to an end. Though not before leaving Meredith with a peace of him in the form of their son Peter, who was born nine months after J'son left Earth.
During his earliest years Peter grew up on Earth, under the care of his mother and grandparents, Jason and Myra, the latter of whom he was named after. As he got older he became something of a wild child, getting into numerous fights, and being cited as disruptive, talkative, and constantly inappropriate by many of his teachers. Despite this Peter didn't change his ways, and his mother didn't force him too. A thing Peter was grateful for, as it was one of the many reasons he and his mother were especially close. As well as the absence of his father, who he sometimes inquired about from Meredith. Though she often avoided or deflected from the topic whenever Peter brought it up. Having decided shortly after he was born to tell Peter about his father when he older. Though that never came to pass, since shortly after Peter's tenth birthday one day after he came home from school, bruised from trying to stop a bully, while washing up for dinner two Badoon aliens broke into his home, having vowed to end the Spartax Royal bloodline, since they discovered Peter was J'son's child. After entering the aliens moved to attack Meredith, forcing Peter to grab the family shotgun and kill them. Though not before his mother was fatally wounded. However just before she died she told Peter her father came from the stars, and also about something he left behind. So taking that information Peter went quickly moved to search his mother's closet and found the item she had told him about, his father's quad element blasters. Which afer finding he ran straight out of his home, just before it was blown up by a Badoon ship, that Peter soon realized was also targeting him. So with that he in desperation headed straight for the other nearby Badoon craft, and through some kind of ingenuity managed to power it up and head into space, where he and his remaining Badoon pursuers got into a firefight that Peter miraculously won, though in the process lost his engine and found himself in a ship that was barely holding together.
However just as the young Quill was about to give up hope he was spotted by the Ravager clan led by Yondou Udonta who salvaged the Badoon ship, inadvertently rescuing Quill. Whom Yondou and the Ravagers under him soon realize was related to one of their biggest clients. But instead of turning the boy over to said client Yondou decided to take him under his wing and raise him as his own. Thus Peter was inducted into the Ravagers and eventually after several years made a reputation for himself as an outlaw, thief, and mercenary, going by the name Star-Lord.
Guardians Of The Galaxy[]
In the spring of 2011, Peter arrives on the planet Morag and collects an object that Yondou and his Ravager clan planned to sell for a large amount of money. But wanting all the cash for himself, and tired of Yondou and his crews years of ridicule, betrays them. Peter then heads to the capital world of the Nova Empire, Xander, to sell the object himself. Only to run into the daughter of Thanos, Gamora, and two bounty hunters Rocket Raccoon and his partner Groot, since Yondou put a bounty on his head, who not only prevent Peter from selling the object in question but also causes him to be arrested, right alongside the rest of them, by Nova Corps members Rhomann Dey of Xandar and Richard Rider of Earth. After which Peter and the rest are sent to Kyln prison, where they encounter the infamous Drax The Destroyer. Once this occurs the small group put aside their differences to escape prison and then head for Knowhere, where it's unofficial leader The Collector informs them the object in their possession is one of the fables Infinity Stones, specifically the Power Stone.
Right after learning this the stone is stolen from Peter in the others by Kree General and powerful Accuser Ronan, aided by Gamora adoptive sister Nebula, who the group learns plans to use the Power Stone to wipe out all life on Xandar. Not being able in good conscience to let this happen Peter rallies his fellow escapees, and Yondou Ravager Clan who have caught up with them, and together they head to Xandar to defend it against Ronan and Nebula attack. Emerging victorious in the end.
After the battle is over the criminal records of Peter and his allies are expunged, and instead of breaking apart they decide to stick together, becoming a part-time outlaw and part-time superhero team known as the Guardians of the Galaxy.
