History

I can't believe I got left with all of Peter's teenage angst. As if I don't already have enough problems!
Spider-Woman

When Spider-Man's arch-enemy, Doctor Octopus, was contracted by Hydra to clone him, he had many failures, but was ultimately successful when he tampered with the chromosomes, giving birth to Spider-Woman. Hydra's original plan for her was to erase all of Peter Parker's memories and brainwash her into being Jessica Drew, Agent of Hydra.

However, before this process could be successful, one of Jessica's fellow clones, Kaine, started to rampage, and destroyed the lab. This allowed "Jessica" an opportunity to escape. Unlike Kaine, she had a grasp on the fact that she was a clone of Peter Parker, and sought him out to protect him from the likes of Kaine, Doctor Octopus, and Hydra.

Despite an initially awkward first meeting, Peter and Jessica agreed to work together to stop Kaine after he kidnapped Mary Jane Watson. This eventually led to a confrontation with Doctor Octopus, who tried to kill Jessica. This attracted the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., which allowed both Jessica and Doc Ock to escape their notice as Spider-Man surrendered himself into their custody.

She then went on the run and officially adopted the name Jessica Drew, becoming accustomed to her life as a woman. She tried to make a normal life for herself until she was found by S.H.I.E.L.D. Initially, she thought they were going to execute her, but after a conversation with Nick Fury, she discovered he only wanted to help her.

She then joined S.H.I.E.L.D. under the moniker of Spider-Woman, she went on to join the Secret Warriors. Since then, she and Spider-Man have run into each other a few times, and have come to see each other as siblings. Jessica was even officially introduced to her Aunt May, who broke down crying after meeting her, and welcomed her into the family.
