Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider and developed spider-like powers after it's bite. Confiding his new abilities in his uncle Ben and aunt May, they told him to use them for good and he did until the day they were killed. After this incident Peter went on a rampage until he was stopped by the Avengers who then gave him a gene cleanser to take away his powers.

Peter Parker was abandoned by his parents at the age of five due to them being in the run from Hydra as they where tasked by S.H.I.E.L.D. to infiltrate them and assassinate the Red Skull, which they did, and was left with his aunt May and uncle Ben. They where one of the only things he liked about his life, and the others where his best friend and girlfriend Harry and Gwen Osborn, respectively.

The Bite

While on a demonstration of the potential of radiation being conducted by Doctor Carlyn Trainer, one of the spiders subjected to the radiation escaped and bit Peter. This caused Peter to develop incredible abilities similar to those of a spider.
