Powers and Abilities

Powers

Spider Physiology: Spider-Man possesses the proportionate powers of a spider. The bite from a Super Spider triggered numerous body-wide mutagenic changes within Parker, granting him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities.

  • Superhuman Strength: Peter possesses superhuman strength, making him capable of lifting at least 20 tons.
  • Superhuman Speed: Peter possesses the proportionate speed of a spider, therefore he can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete. Peter was able to move fast enough to reach an airplane as it took off.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, Spider-Man can physically exert himself for several hours before the build-up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.
  • Superhuman Durability:
  • Superhuman Agility: Peter's agility, balance, flexibility, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of an Olympic-level gymnast.
  • Superhuman Equilibrium: Peter possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Man's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about 20 times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack.
  • Wallcrawling: Peter can cling to any surface using just his fingertips and feet. The extent to how much pressure he can stick to walls is thus far unknown, except that he can handle lifting his own weight.
  • Spider-Sense: When danger is present, Peter feels a buzzing sensation in his head as a sort of early warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. His spider-sense offers him near complete awareness of his surroundings, and in conjunction with his reflexes, allows him to instinctively dodge or counter nearly all attacks. He was also able to sense that reality was not quite right. This suggests that Peter's ability may be borderline precognitive.
  • Organic Webbing Generation: Spider-Man was also gifted with the ability to organically produce his silk webbing from glands within his forearms, limited by his body's health and nutrition. These organic webs have many of the same properties as his Earth-616 counterpart's artificial webbing. Thanks to its similar properties, it appears Spider-Man can utilize his organic webbing in any way he could with his artificial webbing. The silk is released through a spinneret near each wrist containing a central web spigot orifice used for web-slinging and draglines, supplemented by several radial minor spigots for other types of webs connected to specialized glands; he can fire organic webbing from his wrists.
  • Electricity Generation: Peter is able to generate and manipulate a form of bio-electricity that his body produces, and can utilize the energy for multiple purposes. Peter has learned to discharge the energy from his hands and through his webs in controlled bursts of what he calls "Venom Blasts". These energy projections vary in power, and can affect the nervous system in humans and destroy technology. Depending on the intensity of the Venom Blast, some opponents have been simply dazed, where others have been completely incapacitated. It also seems more effective on people with genetic alterations, such as the Green Goblin and Venom.
    • Mega Venom Blast: Peter is able to emit a larger scale burst of bio-electricity from his entire body, that he calls the "Mega Venom Blast". It is powerful enough to repel a large group of opponents and destroy thick ropes and chains that have been used to restrain him.
    • Venom Beam: Peter showed he could channel his bio-electricity outward as a direct burst of electrostatic energy to knock away enemies in a stunning/concussive manner.
    • Venom Punch: Peter can enhance the power of his punches by infusing his fists with bio-electricity.
    • Energy-Thread Generation: Peter can produce threads of bio-electricity from his hands. Said spinnerets carry the same tensile prehensility of his web fluid, allowing him to swing from place to place or yank and flail around his opponents. He can also send a debilitating electric shock which disrupts their nervous systems like his Venom Blasts do.
    • Lateral Repulsion: By projecting a controlled Venom Blast, Peter is able to launch himself in the air with greater force than when jumping or web-swinging.
    • Bio-Electric Constructs.:
    • Taser-Web: Peter can shoot out webs and transfers a jolt of bio-electricity onto the target on the receiving end.
  • Freeze Touch: Peter can lower temperatures cause opponents to become more sluggish or even freeze them to death.
    • Cryo-Web: Peter can create Ice Webbing for freezing targets and were used to combat.
  • Flash-Web: Webs that cause a blinding flash of light upon impact to distract enemies.
  • Water-Web: He is capable making web that can absorbing water and shoot water-infused webbing at high pressure.
  • Camouflage: Peter, including his clothing, can blend into his surroundings, allowing him to sneak up on his enemies or, in some cases, flee from them. The resulting effect closely resembles that of invisibility.
  • Regeneration: Peter is able to regenerate his injuries at a much faster rate than normal humans can.
  • Contaminant Immunity: Due to his accelerated metabolism, Spider-Man has a higher tolerance for drugs and diseases than normal humans, and he can recover from the effects of larger doses rapidly. Spider-Man's unique physiology even allowed him to be completely unaffected from the effects of vampirism.

Magic: He learned magic from Doctor Strange and his time with Strange has also granted him some immunity to magic.

Chi Manipulation: During his time in K'un-Lun, Spider-Man learned Chi Manipulation.

Abilities

  • Genius Intelligence Level: He has far above average intelligence.
    • Leadership: Peter can lead his team with charisma, ardor, and idealism.
    • Bilingualism: Parker speaks English and Spanish.
    • Indomitable Will:
  • Expert Combatant: In combat situations, Spider-Man makes use of a fighting style that relies on overwhelming strength and agility. Due to constant training by Six and throughout his years at S.H.I.E.L.D., he has mastered multiple team combat styles, while also mastering some hand to hand and formal combat, thanks to some training from Captain America, Iron Fist, and many others at S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Master Martial Artist: Peter martial arts from his gym teacher Six and Peter later developed that into his spider-style martial art called Way of the Spider. Peter would later learn to improve his fighting style during his training at S.H.I.E.L.D., who have assigned master combatants like Captain America, Six and Black Widow to train him in unarmed combat. His fellow teammate Iron Fist also assisted him to improve in unarmed combat to fight without using his webs.
  • Boxing:Peter initially learned boxing from his uncle Ben to defend himself from bullies at school.
  • Meditation: Iron Fist trained him in it.
  • Master Acrobat: Thanks to his great strength and phenomenal equilibrium, Parker is an excellent athlete, excelling in all gymnastic fields and being able to perform every acrobatic stunt ever performed, including others that can never be performed by even an Olympic acrobat.

Strength level

Unknown.

Weaknesses

  • Spinneret Blockage: If his spinnerets were to be blocked or held by something with sufficient strength, Peter would be unable to spin webs.
  • Spider-Sense Disruption: Peter's Spider-Sense is not triggered if it detects something that is not registered as a threat. Spider-Man's Spider-Sense can lose its effectiveness if it is blocked or temporarily weakened by specialized equipment or certain drugs. This leaves Spider-Man able to become vulnerable to surveillance and attack, and his web-slinging requires most of his concentration.

Paraphernalia

Equipment: S.H.I.E.L.D. Communicator: A wrist communicator Spider-Man uses to contact S.H.I.E.L.D. or his teammates. After joining the Avengers, Tony Stark upgraded his communicator and broadcast through the Avengers-only frequency.

  • Camouflage Mode: The communicator has the function to turn itself invisible when not in use.
  • Three Dimensional Scanner: It also has a 3-D scanner that captures a detailed holographic image of whatever it scans, and then cross-references it against every image database in the world. It's noted to being the most graphic capture device on Earth. It can also be used as a simple camera to take pictures of.
  • GPS:
  • Laser Torch: A beam of energy shot from the communicator that is powerful enough to cut metal.
  • Taser Darts: One of the upgrades added by Tony Stark, the communicator can now shoot out darts that can stun targets.
  • Spider-Tracers: Spider-Man uses small electronic "Spider-Tracers" of his own design that allow him to track objects or individuals by transferring signals to his communicator.

Spider-Man's Suit 2.0: Spider-man created a non-sentient symbiote that changes into a black and white Spider-Man suit.
