A former employee of Oscorp, Olivia Octavius became one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies after she became Doctor Octopus. However, after the rise of Apocalypse and the death of Spider-Man, she decided to give her life a new purpose.
She convinced the resistance team, the Avengers, to give her a chance to help them, and has since enjoyed doing good work alongside them. She forms a good, trusting relationship with her leader, Captain Canada, but is still not trusted by Hawkeye, who she is determined to prove to that she has changed.
