Namora is born in the kingdom of Atlantis, deep below the ocean, Atlantis' first mutant. Daughter of a human woman and an Altantean prince. She lost both parents at a young age and later became the queen of Atlantis.
While she occasionally left the kingdom of Atlantis to work with - or fight against - the surface world, the welfare of Atlantis was always her utmost priority.
Namora participated in World War II after Nazi Germany attacked Atlantis; thus prompting her and her people to contact the Allies. Thereafter, Namora worked in coordinating campaigns against the Axis Powers with the Allies and becoming acquainted with the future Lady Wolverine and Captain America.
Decades after the war, Namora encountered the Fantastic Four. She became enamored of Sam Storm in which she carried the romantic crush with her since this encounter.
