  • Hey Max,

Me, X, and Gary the Gaget Dude have talked about possibly reviving FanonCon on the Wiki this year and we wanted to ask if you'd be interested in hosting a panel there. You'd be able to tease your future plans for Earth-TRN584 and your upcoming films for the Community MCU Reboot. If you're interested you can just respond to this thread or join us here to discuss it in further detail.

  • Hey

ElectricMayhem told me about your interest in using the Punisher in CMCU Scarlet Spider TV show (I wonder if he was the mysterious figure at the end), and I'd be interested in writing the Punisher movie, so I'd like to ask for how long is his story in the show going to be and maybe a casting ideas for him.

    • Punisher isn't the mysterious figure at the end.

I was considering Jason Clarke for Punisher, in all honesty.

Punisher is set to make an appearance during the second Season of Scarlet Spider, during Secret Wars, when he tries to kill Scarlet Spider in a recreation of the first battle between Spider-Man and the Punisher during The Amazing Spider-Man #129.

    • Jason Clarke would be a good choice, however, I'd think of Eric Bana, Patrick Wilson, or, if we'd do an older version of the character, Dennis Quaid. Jason Clarke is good, too.

    • In all honesty, man, I really don't know.

I wasn't planning on doing the Punisher at any point, but I do know someone who was; Flare-Rex.

You'll need to talk to him about it. You'll also need to get word from Electric himself because Punisher's probably gonna get his own solo venture somewhere around Phase 4.

    • Yes, I already spoke to Electric, he told me that someone was gonna do the Punisher solo venture, but they dropped off.

  • I know the original draft of the CMCU Avengers film had a brief cameo from James Rhodes, and I wasn't going to keep that in the rewrite because it felt unnecessary, but I was thinking of a way I could re-incorporate him that actually contributes to the plot and also teases his future role as War Machine. Basically, at some point, Tony winds up in a predicament and can't get to his suit, but Rhodey is present and steps into the suit to save him. Tony takes it back, and Rhodey says something along the lines of "I need to get myself one of those." I know you've said before that you have some plans for him in Iron Man 3 (if I remember correctly) so I think this could be some fun foreshadowing, and make it so that when he eventually becomes War Machine, he won't be totally inexperienced with piloting a suit.

  • What is the status of this project?

  • Dude, you have a ton of these. What's the deal with all of these universes? Are you developing any of them? I haven't added any to the disambigs yet because there are so many and I'm not sure what's going on with them.

  • The reason I suggested having Seth as the main villain was because I remember our discussion on Discord where you said you were looking forward to doing a Thunderstrike film with him.

I was thinking a compromise for you allowing me to do Malekith and Surtur in Goddess of Thunder would be essentially having Thor Corps be the Thunderstrike movie you originally intended. The only significant difference would need to be that Beta Ray Bill and Groot get introduced and given hammers to join the Thor Corps, outside of that though, it can be based largely on your original pitch for the Third Thor movie.

Does this appeal to you at all? Would you still be interested in doing the Thunderstrike TV show if we did this? If you'd rather just do the TV show I have some ideas with Hela being the main villain and ending Loki's arc (since he'll likely survive the events of Goddess of Thunder), but if this is something you like we could definitely make Seth work and do the project you were originally looking forward to

    • I can do Beta Ray Bill, but not Groot.

What was your basic outline for the Thor Corps movie. I'm not sure if that's something I'd like to do, but I'm willing to hear you out.

        Loading editor
    • Well, since it will be a collaboration I'd be willing to figure out a way to get Groot into it.

Since it's still far off I only have a vague idea. But pretty much after the events of Goddess of Thunder, Loki would take over Jotunheim and rule as their King now that they're independent from Asgard along with his son Fenris and daughter Hela. He would then start causing mischief throughout the other former Nine Realms and in order to stop Loki's extended family's reign of terror Jane and Eric would create the Thor Corps to even out the playing field in a final epic showdown between the legacies of Thor and Loki.

If you still want to do the TV show with Seth as the villain it's probably best we just don't do him in the movies at all. He's not big enough of a villain to warrant being the main antagonist for two different Thor related projects.

    • The thing is, though, a part of me did want to return to solo efforts with the Thor movies. I feel as though after Blood Oath, I've been pressured to do collaborations that I don't really want to do.

It's not that I don't enjoy working with other people, I do. It's just that it can get exhausing after awhile.

IDK. Let me get back to you and see where we go from there.
