Uncanny X-Factor, ZoomZolomonZoom and I were planning a FanonCon revival on the Wiki. If you don't already know, FanonCon is a way to promote your upcoming project(s), share ideas, and get to know your fellow community members. If you're interested, let me know in this thread, or here, where me, X and Zoom have been discussing in more detail. Thanks!
Mon, I still remember that time when I promoted my stupid Deadpool movie in 2016, I sure as hell don't forget FanonCon, like ever! If it ain't obvious, of course I support this. Not sure if I'd be a participant though XD
I noticed you expressed some confusion as to the word Utopia popping up on the disambiguations under your Earth-900. The issue there is that Marvel has published a reality under that designation, titled Utopia. As such, you may be bound to that reality's existing standards. You can choose a different designation if you like.
Making a Hyperion movie sounds awesome. I think i read the first few issues of the latest run, and if I'm correct, he's a bit of a drifter right? Like wolverine meets superman. Hard exterior, but actually has a heart of gold?
Yes, correct. Like that. But I am portraying him kind of like his Supreme Power version as well. A morally conflicted individual who is often torn apart between what the gov. wants him to do and what his heart says.
I am gonna portray the one Hyperion from the latest run, who is also the one from Marvel NOW!. But as I said, he will have characteristics of those of the Supreme Power version.
I will be honest with you, I have not made the draft yet since I am focusing on my national exams (lol). Casting is also a problem for me since I don't know many actors out there suitable to play Hyps. And since I am an... unorthodox man, I may be using villains NOT usual to him. What does that mean? It means that I may use villains from other heroes, such as Skrulls, Kree, etc. Eh... I think that one spoiled a bit lol. But I can confirm you that Emil Burbank's in here. He is going to be based on his Supreme Power version, but Hyps sees him as "the Father" from Marvel NOW!.
Don't worry about casting if you don't want to. I'm not going to cast my heroes just because I don't really care for it.
Villains is something we will have to look at, as we wanna keep it sorta grounded at the moment, and make sure not everyone is setting up a big bad for future films. I'm imagining Humans have never seen Aliens until the Avengers. Let me know possible villains and an outline of his origin if it is an origin movie. Sounds great!
Ah alright then. Still, don't worry, I already have another villain at tow.
Anyways, here are some plot points that I managed to think of:
1. Hyperion would arrive on Earth as a baby long before the events of the movie starts. He'd arrive on Earth during the Cold War. SHIELD's then director, Emil Burbank, found out of his space ship and discovered the baby inside, crying out loud. Emil then took him under his care, while also experimenting on him to see what's so unique about him for four months, forcibly injecting him with experimental drugs that kept him asleep for the said time. This would also show how inhumane SHIELD is in this universe, 'tormenting' even an extraterrestrial child.
2. Taken under Emil's tutelage, this alien baby, given the name Mark Milton, would be given propaganda everyday in order to ensure a hundred percent loyalty to the nation and to SHIELD. When he found out that he has superpowers (SHIELD knew he had superpowers all along before he knows), he asked Emil what's wrong with him. Emil then told him a faked version of his story, telling him that he's born with great powers, and he will make the world a better place.
3. Time-skipping several years into the future, to this day, Mark, AKA "Hyperion" has been working for SHIELD and the government as their asset to protect their interests. But all along, Mark has always felt conflicted in his beliefs. For when he goes on multiple 'dirty' jobs, Emil (who he considers his father) tells him to just finish the f*ckers. And you know what does that mean: no mercy, no prisoners, no corpses (eh, at least those that are disintegrated). Emil always tell him that all that he does in recent years are all making the world a better place, but Hyperion thinks otherwise. He thinks that he's spreading fear, and he shouldn't be such a merciful, mindless person. But nevertheless, he still serves SHIELD, until he had enough.
4. On Emil's side, he himself knows that Hyperion's chances of going rogue have increased substantially, and asked the 'Board" (this universe's version of the Council of Nine) if he has the authorization to initiate "Project: Supreme". The Board's respond surprisingly is no, as they still believe that Hyperion's still fighting for their cause and he should not activate it until Hyperion truly goes rogue. Emil reluctantly accepts this, but in his mind, he simply says, "What the hell." Emil then activates the project by himself, with its two primary subjects: Michael Redstone and Joseph Ledger.
I.... kind of have wording problems here, and 'tis just the only plot points I can give so far. Sorry if it's kind of awful. It's just, I'm not feeling too good now.
They will, but they don't know of his dirty jobs, all and all. They'll see him like their public defender; their "Superman"; their guardian, all while they don't know how conflicted he is and how bad his employers are.
Oh ok, that sounds cool. If you want to dive into the SHIELD side of things more, you can always introduce some other minor heroes. Like Hawkeye or black widow, whom SHIELD is going to brutal murder a-la Red Wedding (Game Of Thrones) as the team go to recruit them to overthrow their leader.
As Hyperion is indestrustable, he finally returns to start a revolotion with other heroes kept prisoner by SHIELD, but they, not needing heroes after gaining whatever power they use in the film, blow the building up, and Hyperion is the only survivor, watching SHIELD take his only friends from him. idk just spitballing.
Whoa! So, SHIELD's gonna kill Hawkeye and Widow? I mean, THAT could happen? Whoa... but, recruit them, who? Oh wait nevermind. You mean Redstone and Ledger? Sure, that could happen lol.
Lol why are you constantly saying 'spitballing'?
My plan for him is that, in the movie, after Hyperion goes truly rogue in SHIELD's terms, they later send both Ledger and Michael, AKA Dr. Spectrum and Redstone, respectively. Both of them try their best in taking down Hyperion, who's hiding in his usual bar back in Midtown (Spidey connection here), ambushing him and taking the battle to the skies of Manhattan. However, Hyperion takes the battle to another place, far away from Manhattan: the steppes of Russia. He doesn't want other people to get hurt by the battle, and he wants to know what the hell are they doing. The two are indeed, strong and brutal, but Hyperion still managed to defeat them. But Redstone is the only one seemingly thirsty for Hyperion's blood. Ledger is, all and all, actually neutral. After failing to defeat him, the two then return to Emil, who delivers an angry wave of spits and curses to them, telling them that they MUST be able to kill Hyperion. Spectrum on the other hand, openly disagrees because in the battle, he sees not the soul of a rebellious man, but a man seeking for redemption. Enraged, Emil then shouts to Redstone to kill him, which he responds by doing so (a, a, a! Don't worry, Spec's still alive), dismembering him limb by limb. Redstone then tells him to give him another chance in killing him, since he's a true psycho, even more insane than Emil himself that wants to taste the blood of an 'alien scumbag' (eh... word fixing?). Emil smiles, and proceeds to give him even more enhancements later on for him to fight Hyperion in the movie's epic finale battle.
And just for your info, Hyperion's NOT going to prison like the other heroes, but he's gone out of the grid, hiding in Kansas, living as a farmer without anyone knowing who he is.
Didn't even reslise how much I say certain words. I am very busy so I try to write these as quickly as possible, hence the mistakes and repeated phrases.
Shield is going to have a few heroes working for them, and the idea is that when dr strange tries to recruit them they are all blown up, with Hyperion (who is sent to get them out) surviving and going rage against Shield (or if he isn't really angry, then wishing to go back into exile) Captain Marvel is going to be the only hero captured and imprisoned, as she is a unique being much like Hyperion. The heroes who work for Shield are going to basically be advanced normals.
Plot sounds great so far! Just checking that it will end with Hyperion living off the grid?
"Just checking that it will end with Hyperion living off the grid?"
And I still don't get how your plot goes there. When is that recruitment scene gonna happen? And who sent Hyperion? Which movie will that happen? Because I assure you in my Hyperion there will be no other heroes ("heroes") other than Hyperion, Redstone, and Spectrum.
The idea was to have that happen in the Avengers movie. Hyperion is self contained, but I said if you wanted to allude to the fact that SHIELD had other agents then you could. If not it doesn't matter. I was refering to the Hyperion movie ending with him as a farmer, like you said here - "he's gone out of the grid, hiding in Kansas, living as a farmer without anyone knowing who he is."
Ah! I see XD. Sorry, I kind of lost track back when you said that lol. And that left me confused. Sure thing then. That could happen. Because SHIELD's agents are numerous, more agents are a must do, m8.
