Hey French, I was wondering if it was within your area of expertise to add a Webseries tab to the disambiguation page? If it makes a difference, ideally it would function exactly like the Video Games section, but just say "Web Series" instead. Thanks in advance!
I imagine you meant the 'pages with script errors' one. That means Lua is being used in templates, and we've talked about this; you guys took templates from the MARVEL Database without even really looking into how they worked, so I had to go ahead and import the stuff you missed out and most importantly fiddle around with Lua on this wiki. Now everything should work fine but you're probably gonna keep encountering those over and over again.
Well that's a completely different template though. So do you want there to be multiple templates to begin with? 'Cause if you want to uniformize everything, then might as well just replace it before I do anything to the template :p
Alright alright, that's good to know. 'Cause I have to break to you that it has nothing to do with the template but those categories have been user-inputted on the page. So I removed what you told me and I'll let you take care of whatever you want to get rid of :p
Most interesting thing is my college writing class. I found it dull and boring in high school how we could only write stuff on political subjects all the time. I gave the typical conservative moderate response for each paper, which was the opposite of exciting.
What I'm currently assigned to do in college writing is research on a historical subject from the 1920's. It works perfectly for me since I'm a history major. As such, I am studying the Irish Civil War. Pretty fascinated with Michael Collins especially. I could have done something America-related, but everyone else was doing that and frankly I wanted to learn something fresh and different.
It's a thing here, it's not appropriate for everyone but glad you've been enjoying it so far, so long as it comes at you with something new and refreshing... That said though, if you're about the Irish Civil War, then you're probably mostly studying the '10s as its context, unless you're just asked to talk about the event itself.
I've started on the Anglo-Irish treaty as the main focus of my current essay. Also, my professor said it was OK to dip out of the 20's if nessecary for context. In my big paper I do at the end of the semester I'm gonna talk about the actual partition in general.
I really should. I am enjoying what I have read thus far for the partition of Ireland. In the meantime, though, I have been reading The Amazing Spider-Man on my freetime. I'm currently on issue 164 as I'm typing this.
I started over the summer and finished Ditko's run at the beginning of the semester. It helps when there are fewer words to read and more art to appreciate. Makes them quick reads, so I can usually read 4 within an hour.
I can't write 4, but I can certainly write 2, if I am fast and have planning. The most I can get done within an hour is 1, however. That's really the sad thing about comics: they take hours, even days, to complete, but then you read them and it's a quick read.
Okay well how 'bout I dare you, sonny! But yeah, it takes much more if you're really going for something special, too—but it's like any work of art, that is, you have to put the effort for the sake of enjoyment.
Hey, I ran into a problem with the Location Template. When I go to add the country the location is in. It came up as this.
Template:Ctry, with the Template: ctry appearing as Red. Meaning it doesn't exist. Can you please help, and try to fix it? I would, but I don't get these types of templates has it's way to complicated XD
Hey, those are because the templates were implemented from the MARVEL Database with unfortunately not much regard for their necessities; as such, Comic Template relies on Lua modules (Lua is an informatic language that's different altogether from the one used in the templates) that do not exist on the wiki, and which, honestly, I'm not going to add because I've already talked with X about how much of a pain these are, especially since I would be the only one able to do any form of maintenance.
I've added the Ctry (Country Name Standardization) template though as it's ridiculously easy and meager. What it does is it just allows you to return the words United States of America whether you type US, USA, U.S.A, or some other thing. It only does that for the US but it works very easily so if you need to add something you'll see it's not hard for anyone, I feel like it's a good way to learn some HTML basics if you wanna try out. But all in all, the template is useless and I might as well remove its usage from the Location Template, but that'd rather be X's call.
Back to the Comic Template though, there's nothing I can do about it because it relies way too heavily on Lua, so it just needs to be fully redone or it could just be deleted, since there have been other templates made for comics (and since you seem to be the only one using this one) that are much easier to just use.
FrenchTouch wrote: Anyhoo, what are we discussing? I mean, what did you plan already, if anything?
Everything I planned I wanted to throw out, as I didn;t have much of an idea. I did want to suggest one character from 8 Down for the team, but mostly I wanted us to settle on a roster and origin and HQ, that type of thing.
eh. johnny baba . i have mixed feelings about thoz arcz if i must
Okay, I may sound completely absurb now but here goes nothing: what killed MJ was Peter's sperm. :/ And according to the Marvel Wiki: "The radioactive, complex mutagenic enzymes in the spider's blood that were transferred at the time of the bite triggered numerous body-wide mutagenic changes within Parker, granting him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities."
So, assuming that these wide mutagenic changes altered much of Peter's physiology, that means Peter (earth-616) would end up in the same situation as the Spider-Man reign Peter. Because if he "did it" to someone, the person would die right? idk maybe. just a horrible theory. what do you think
That's a theory? I always thought it was the actual meaning. I mean, it makes perfect sense. You can(t just jiminicricket remains of Chernobyl in someone and hope for them to grow a third leg or something. She dead cos she got the dee.
It's totally awkward indeed, but last time I didn't keep that censored, it happened to go bad for everyone :) Well, Reign takes a more realistic approach, and isn't like “Superpowers for you, superpowers for me, superpowers for everybody!” Because, well, it's stupid.
No offense dodz but for like 10 months or something i thought you were australlian. until now. when i visited ur profile and saw u in the french community. ur internet grammer preferences led me to believe such a thing when the obvious answer was literally in urz uzahnamez. plas forgave thy insulto.
