History
Matt Murodock seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart. As a child, he saved a blind man from being hit by an oncoming truck. The automobile still crashed and a radioactive isotope from the cargo bed struck Murdock in the face. This blinded him, but also enhanced his other senses. He was approached by a ninja master with a similar affliction, who taught him martial arts. Growing up with a strong sense of justice, he became a lawyer by day, and the vigilante Daredevil by night.
During a trip to the west coast, Daredevil met with fellow superhero Black Widow and the two began dating. Matt even moved into Natasha's apartment. Their partnership became rocky as he didn't treat her as an equal, becoming too concerned with her safety. With trouble brewing back home, the pair split up as Matt returned to the east coast alone. Despite this, Matt and Natasha remained friends.
Among Daredevil's closest allies in the wider superhero community was Spider-Man. As such, he was targeted by one of the Web-Head's adversaries, Mysterio. Diagnosed with a brain tumor and lung cancer, Mysterio hoped to go out in a blaze of glory, finding Peter and the second Spider-Man unworthy of the task. His plan was to throw Murdock's life into such disarray that he would be pushed to kill Quentin. Daredevil was able to foil Mysterio's plot and resisted the temptation to kill him, leading Mysterio to commit suicide. His niece sworn revenge against Daredevil and Spider-Man for her uncle's death and became the super-villain Jack O'Lantern.
Daredevil was among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift and recruited by War Machine into the Avengers Alliance to oppose the reality's tyrannical ruler: God Emperor Doom. It was on the island where he first reencountered Mysterio, now a reanimated demon.
