History
Not everyone gets to win the lottery. Some of them would try, reality just tend to drain their lucks out 'till they got nothing left... whether it's through pressure or by their own volition. But with that in mind, I chose this path because wanna help those who aren't as fortunate as us. Not everyone gets the chance to be super, nor anyone has a hero flying or swinging around their neighborhood. I may have gotten privilege than most, but I have also chosen to carry the responsibility. To those who are in need, I'll bring 'em the jackpot.

Mary Jane "MJ" Watson (born March 1987) was the youngest daughter of Phillip and Madeline Watson and the younger sister of Gayle. Although she grew up in the household of her verbally abusive father, MJ would learn to grow up and live looking at the bright side once her mother has had enough and left their father, bringing both her daughters as the three moved from home to home outside Pennsylvania. Such a way of living molded MJ to become more and more extroverted and adventurous, finding ways to connect with people she's met and befriended. Eventually, the Watsons found a sense of stability after establishing their new residence with MJ's aunt Anna in Queens, New York City, with MJ enrolling at Midtown High School. Moving in with her aunt, the new Watsons were almost immediately introduced and acquainted with the Parkers, their next-door neighbors. There, she first met Peter, a boy about the same age as hers.
In her new neighborhood, MJ also befriended other people around her age, such as Gwen Stacy, Liz Allan, and Glenda Grant. Despite gaining friends and a ton of acquaintances at her new school, MJ became closer with the introverted Peter not long after his uncle Ben' untimely passing, allowing themselves to confide in each other whenever they had secrets, which Peter was too dubious to tell his own aunt May and his best friend, Harry Osborn. Although MJ was infatuated with him, she expressed her support his feelings for Gwen, considering her realization that Gwen was also feeling the same thing for him, and was just as hesitant to confess as he was. In her own time, MJ fooled around, even dating Harry Osborn for a while, though she never got in a committed relationship, partly due to her trust issues rooted from her father's abuse towards her mother. Academic-wise, she was a quick learner, which got her good grades. However, what MJ was truly passionate about was the performance arts, which she showed through her outstanding roles during school plays and even her speaker or emcee roles during campus events.
MJ's high school life would also have its thrilling and adventurous moments, be it intentionally or not, as her neighborhood was the base of operations of the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man, it even inadvertently endangered her and her friends' lives a few times whenever his villains just happened to wreak havoc wherever they were. Despite this, MJ never harbored any disdain against the hero because she believed in his commitment in fighting crime and saving lives. She even developed an attraction towards the web-slinger, having passionately kissed him once after he saved her once from a mugging, even though his secret identity remained a mystery at the time.
After graduating from high school, Mary Jane parted ways with her close friends once she headed to college as a mass comm major, practicing her independence while being able to discover herself in the city in ways she couldn't back in Queens. Still, she did her best to keep in touch with them whenever they had gatherings during their holidays and free times, as some of them have also come up in the world as fellow college students or young employees. When she was a sophomore at nineteen, MJ got her first offer of a lifetime to follow her dream in acting after shooting her shot to audition on a Broadway musical. However, those next four years of rising potential were also the time in MJ's life that she began to struggle balancing her own goals and her familial priorities, which only became more serious once her mother's health began to complicate due to a heart condition that needed a lot of attention and maintenance. Not to mention the heartbreaking fact that Gwen suddenly passed away during a brutal battle between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin. MJ would attend her close friend's funeral, heartbroken, guilt-ridden, and mournful after realizing that there's a chance Gwen would still be alive if she could've spent more time with her and even told her about having fallen in love with Peter during her absence.
When she was at her lowest, Mary Jane went back home to her residence to think through her life decisions. That's when she would also discover her Peter's secret life as Spider-Man. Although she's had suspicions before whenever they crossed paths, an astonished MJ finally caught the Spider unmasking himself in the act, initiating a wholehearted conversation between the two about their ongoing problems. Mary Jane pondered on Peter's selflessness and responsibility even after his tragedies he has gone through, especially with Gwen's passing, while the latter encouraged her to follow a path that stayed truest to her heart. Not long after their heart-to-heart talk which gave them some sense of closure about some of their misgivings, MJ decided not to give up on her acting by stepping up her career while also finding a means to help her family. A few months before graduation, she was able to land her first supporting role in television, followed by her first modeling gigs post-college. And as things started to get better in her young adult life, MJ and Peter started dating for a couple of years, until it unfortunately ended when their guilt for the late Gwen started often intervening with their romance and their long-term commitment. After their breakup, MJ slaved away her talent and profession for years, eventually giving her the opportunity to enter Hollywood in late 2009 with her first feature film.
But despite her popularity and growing influence as a celebrity, MJ's life would take a massive turn in the spring of 2015, when the world was shaken by a series of conflicts ignited by a secret society of supervillains known as the Movement Alliance. In the brutal and tragic conflict, Mary Jane was in Los Angeles where she witnessed the loss of hundreds of innocent lives out of the millions that perished, including people she was working with during those times. Making things worse, she would find out that her older sister and her ex-husband were critically injured in their hometown. As a survivor of the month-long war, the trauma and guilt she had experienced gave Mary Jane a brand new perspective, driving her to take an indefinite break from acting in order to help out her family and the communities were they resided, offering donations and attending community outreaches during this following chapter in her life.
