Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 (sometimes stylized as Ultimate Alliance 3 or simply MUA3) is an action role-playing video game developed by Raven Software and Treyarch and published by Activision for the Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The long-awaited sequel to 2009's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, the game was released worldwide on August 28, 2014 (intentionally the same date as famous comic book writer and innovator Jack Kirby's birthday).
The game takes place within the fictional Marvel universe and features many of the universe's most iconic and recognized superheroes and supervillains while introducing some lesser-known characters. The storyline is exclusive to the game but retains some aspects and elements from other known Marvel Comics publications such as "Secret Invasion", "The Thanos Imperative" and the finale of "Civil War".
