Plot[]
The episode begins with the Marvel Television logo. The screen changes with a web in the sky. It transitions with the web connected to a wall.
We enter Midtown High School. We now hear Peter telling his origin story.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man: Who am I? You sure you want to know? The story of my life is not for the faint of heart. It's a kinda dark origin. Now listen, if somebody told you that I was just you average, ordinary guy, not a care in the world, somebody lied. This is like any origin story worth telling, and it's all about a girl, that girl, the girl next door, Mary Jane Watson. She's the woman I loved before I even liked girls.
(Eugene "Flash" Thompson sitting next to her, smiling to get her affection. It doesn't work. She only cares for her friend and crush, Peter Parker.)
Peter: I like to tell you that's me next to her.
(Kid eating doughnut.)
Peter: Heck, I'd even take him.
(Then the kid laughs because Peter Parker has to run and is tapping on the bus window.)
Peter: That's me. Peter Parker.
(All the kids laugh.)
Mary Jane: Stop the bus! He's been chasing us since Woodhaven Boulevard.
