The First Season of Marvel's Illuminati premiered on October 6, 2018 on The Marvel Network. It was previously aired to a small group of fans at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19, 2018.
Synopsis
When T'Challa discovers a multiverse-spanning cataclysm coming their way, he calls the last group he ever wanted to see again, the secretive society of superheroes known as the Illuminati.
The team consists of the alcoholic Avenger Tony Stark and the straight arrow Steve Rogers, representatives of the Avengers; the scientific genius, Reed Richards, leader of the Fantastic Four and representative of the science community; Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, Stephen Strange, representative of the magical society; the silent Black Bolt, king of Attilan and representative of the Inhumans; and the mischievous Namor, king of Atlantis, representative of the seas, and sworn enemy of T'Challa. They will be joined by the mutant Avenger Wanda Maximoff, representative of the mutants and replacement of the now-deceased Charles Xavier; and cosmic hero, Carol Danvers, leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy and representative of space.
The Avengers can keep saving the day all day, but when the impossible happens, who gets to decide the fate of the Earth? Will it be the heroes who save the lives of everyone or will it be those who are prepared to sacrifice for the greater good? As the greatest minds of the world come together to protect their home, they must learn to release the darkest versions of themselves to survive the great apocalypse.
