The Super-Soldier Serum metabolized and enhanced all of Carter's bodily functions to the peak of human potential and beyond. Dr. Reinstein described this potential as being "the next step in human evolution", while still remaining completely human.

• Artificially Enhanced Physiology: As a result of the Super-Soldier serum, she was transformed into a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning (and likely into superhuman levels).

• Superhuman Strength: Carter's physical strength is enhanced to beyond human potential as she has been able to perform such feats as stopping a very large tree from falling on a group of soldiers and successfully holding it up in its leaning state long enough for the soldiers to get to safety. Carter is sufficiently strong enough to lift 2 tons.
• Enhanced Speed: She could run at speeds of up to approximately 30 miles per hour, and had on occasion run a mile in little over a minute (almost 60 mph) when under duress.
• Enhanced Stamina: Carter's body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in her muscles and her musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting her superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities. She can physically exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue toxins begins to impair her. This kind of physiology grants her phenomenal endurance. She can even hold her breath under water for 6 minutes.
• Enhanced Agility: Carter's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete, and she can even jump or leap higher and longer than finest humans.
• Enhanced Reflexes: Carter's reflexes is superior to that of any Olympic athlete that has ever competed. The speed at which she reacts allows her to dodge 5 gunners in point blank range. She can usually out-react even the fastest humans, no matter how well-trained.
• Superhuman Durability: Carter's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. Her body is more resistant to impact forces. She can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an opponent with super strength, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort. Carter's body is durable to the point where her super-strong muscles while being punched by a corrupt soldier in the torso it resulted breakage of his wrists.
• Superhuman Healing: She is able to heal broken bones, toren muscles, several gunshots, knife stabs and other severe injuries within 3 to 4 days and most lesser injuries like cuts, scrapes and burns within hours.

• Disease Resistance: Carter is highly resistant to most diseases, infections and disorders. And never became ill after receiving the SSS.
• Alcohol Immunity: Carter is virtually immune to intoxication by consuming alcohol

• Peak Human Mental Process: Carter's mental performance had been greatly enhanced, allowing her mind to operate in the most efficient and rapid manner possible. One manifestation of this was her tactical genius; the ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations. Carter also possessed a near-edictic memory, meaning that she never forgot anything and had perfect recall. This enabled her to remember any military tactic and apply it to any situation. Able to utilize more than a human's full brain capacity for information processing and sorting, Carter's mind is virtually a computer built for strategy and problem-solving, one that works at optimal ability even when under stress and fatigue. Using her superior problem-solving skills, Carter can work out a battle ahead of time for many possibilities and predict enemy movements and tactics after the battle has engaged by recalling and utilizing memorized mannerisms acquired through past experience on a moment's notice. She is also ingenious in devising solutions against superior aspects of opponents, can observe and exploit, and can calculate distance, speed, and time at lightning speeds; her sense of timing is superb, bordering on perfection.
• Enhanced Senses: Carter's senses have been augmented to higher levels of ability. She can hear, see, and smell things better than humans. Carter once stated that she was able to dodge bullets because she "sees faster than them".

• Latent Mutations: these abilities were unlocked following her exposure to the SSS that were individual to her. Once in the future, she would discover that these were latent mutant abilities.

• Omnilingual Translation: has a superhuman facility for translating any languages, spoken or written, human or alien in origin. Her superhuman skill also extended to her great facility in deciphering codes and computer languages as well as understanding hidden intentions and body language. Margaret performs hr ability easily without having a hard time on picking the appropriate words to use. Margaret’s mutant talent is an intuitive one which works on a subconscious level. Everything she sees is interpreted into information, everything is language to her now. This allows her to understand and manipulate pretty much any system: she has shown the ability to read body language; decode hidden messages in intonation and inflection of speech (revealing the inner monologues of individuals); decode combat viewing a fight as a language to be interpreted; decipher and manipulate data in a manner that rivals hypercomputers.
  

Abilities

• Master Martial Artist: Carter is a dangerously skilled martial artist and hand-to-hand combatant. She received training from World War Two hand-to-hand combat luminaries William Essart Fairbairn and Colonel Rex Applegate as well as Captain America (Steve Rogers) in multiple martial arts, and acrobatics as a young adult during WWII and was trained in more of them while being molded into an assassin by the Soviet Union.
• Weapons Proficiency: She did not usually use weapons other than her bow-staff, but in desperate times or situations where she and teammates were outnumbered, she would wield additional weapons to ensure victory. She had used staffs, bludgeons, and was adept with swords. She likely received training with different kinds of weapons during her wartime for undercover infiltration missions in the event of not being able to use her personal bow-staff.
• Master Acrobat: Carter's years of training have made her an expert in the field of acrobatics and gymnastics as well as a stunning aerialist.
• Expert Marksman: She can throw most if not all projectile weaponry with great aim and was well versed in the use of firearms.
• Master Tactician and Strategist: Carter is an accomplished strategist. She has been widely considered one of the greater tacticians on the planet both on and off the battlefield. She is able to formulate battle strategies and her brilliant tactical sense allows her to just as quickly alter any strategy of plan to fit the need of the situation change.
• Multi-lingual: She is fluent in English, Russian, German, Japanese, and a little French. Through her omnilingual ability, she can understand and decipher any other language that she comes into contact with.
• Expert Spy: She is an expert in the field of espionage thanks largely to World War Two hand-to-hand combat luminaries William Essart Fairbairn and Colonel Rex Applegate, her former partner, Steve Rogers, the United States military, British SAS regiment, and the Russian Government. She is skilled in stealth, demolitions, survival, deducing other persons ways of thinking and other fields.
• Expert Assassin: Carter is an adept of his generation as Matthew Murdock and Elektra Natchios is of theirs, possibly the most lethal assassin in the marvel universe rivaling others such as Bullseye or Elektra. Carter has mastered and implemented several methods to silently eliminate sentries with bladed weapons, garrotes or his bare hands, making her as lethal in his own way. She is a master at stealth and tracking and is very intelligent. Carter has made a habit out of constantly studying her surroundings and depicting what she can and cannot do in whatever situation she should fall in.

• Shortly after losing Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson, James Barnes and Margaret Carter were both captured and temporarily brainwashed by the Soviets. While brainwashed, they were trained to become master assassins and they began to fall in love. Eventually, they were freed from the mind control, and they returned home to the US, where they started their own family.
