Marcella "Marcie" Scarlotti was a former employee of Stark Industries and after that company stopped producing weapons, she started working for the Maggia, former clients of Stark Industries. Through reverse engineering Stark Tech, Marcie constructed a suit of body armor equipped with energy whips.

When Toni Stark started searching for stolen Stark Tech using the Iron Maiden Armor, she faced Whiplash and the two fought in a stalemate. Whiplash escaped the battle unscathed.

• While she's the female version of Blacklash, she uses the same moniker, armor and whips as MCU Ivan Vanko (with the armor resembling his Earth-616 counterpart's); as Blacklash was originally called Whiplash.
