History[]
Early Years[]
Lorna Sally Dane (born March, 1988) was the product of an affair between her mother Suzanna Dane, and the Mutant terrorist Max Eisenhardt, also known as Magneto. Though Lorna would not come to know this truth until she reached adulthood. However her step-father, Arnold Dane eventually did learn the truth of her parentage. Shortly after which he took his wife up in his plane, since he was a flight instructor, to confront her about her affair and make sure she couldn't escape from the conversation. One which turned physical after Suzanna admitted that Lorna was not Arnolds'. In the ensuing fight Arnold lost control of the plane, and it crashed, killing both him and his wife. This turn of events led to Lorna being placed in the care of his father's sister, Ruth Dane. Who then began raising her as if she was her own. But despite the love she got from her aunt Lorna always felt that if a piece of herself was missing. This led her to start acting out, and getting into trouble with the local authorities. All of which came to a head when shortly after her twelfth birthday Lorna discovered a letter detailing the truth of her parentage, and that her father was in fact a powerful Mutant. Confronting her aunt over the letter its contents were confirmed and the revelation of his triggered Lorna's own mutant powers, which were exactly the same as her father's to emerge. It also caused her hair color to naturally become green.
Mutant Underground[]
After the emergence of her powers Lorna's aunt tried to get her to hide them, and even dyed her hair back to its natural brown color, in an effort to protect her from anti-mutant sentiments. But wanting nothing of the sort Lorna rejected her aunts attempts to shield her any longer, and at the age of fourteen ran away from home, all in search of her true father. However life on the streets was much harder than Lorna ever managed, and eventually she resorted to using her powers as a means of survival. Careful not to be caught using them for fear of persecution as a Mutant. Though eventually her luck ran out and she found herself under arrest an in juvenile detention in Atlanta, Georgie in early 2003. Shortly after which she found herself contacted by a fellow Mutant and lawyer named Evangeline Whedon. Who not only got Lorna out of prison, but also offered a chance to do some good and help run a secret underground network that gave aide to Mutants, known as the Mutant Underground. An offer which Lorna accepted. Thus she found herself fighting for her own people, and eventually developing a relationship with fellow Mutant Underground supervisor Marco Diaz. Though she still longed to find her father.
Hero To Princess[]
A meeting Lorna truly had no idea how close was getting too after the Mutant Undeground came under attack by the Purifiers, backed by Mojo Adams in 2007. Leading her to meet and team up with the Mutant superhero team known as the X-Men. A group which she decided to join, since although the Undeground survived the Purifiers attack Marco lost his life in the skirmish, and she discovered she was pregnant. So to make the world a safer place for her daughter, and honor Marco's memory she decided to do more. Thus she moved into the Institute and with the help of Professor Xavier and the other X-Man brought her powers to a level she could have never dream of, and soon found herself joining the team under the codename Magnetrix. She also found herself starting a relationship with her fellow teammate Havok. Though despite all of these things Lorna couldn't resist going over to the side of Magneto once she discovered he was in fact the father she had been searching for since her teens began. With that she left the X-Men and moved to Genosha, becoming one of its princesses and using its influence to assist and aide the Mutant Underground, taking on the name Polaris in the process, while also raising her daughter. As well as getting to know her new family, even her new siblings Wanda and Pietro. Despite the fact they had left the Brotherhood and turned their backs on their shared father, since they couldn't agree with his beliefs. Though unlike her siblings Lorna had no trouble understanding the place her father was coming from, having felt like most of an outcast in society her entire life. But this didn't stop Lorna from drawing a line she would not cross. Mostly notably during the events of World War X, and the subsequent events to follow like the Ultimate Alliance War, Civil War, etc.
Lorna finding herself tested at each and every turn, but not wavering. Especially with Alex and the rest of her friends and family by her side. Though eventually she grew weary of the events of Earth, especially after the events of the Phoenix Five. To that end she and Alex decided to take to the stars and join up with the Starjammers for the foreseeable future. Which was a vacation compared to everything they had been through over the years.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
Homo Superior Physiology: Lorna is an Alpha-mutant. She has the ability to manipulate magnetism. Although she has the potential to exercise all of the powers that Magneto has, as yet she has only used powers involving the manipulation of magnetic, electrical, and gravitational fields. Moreover, she has yet summoned as great an amount of energy as Magneto has. The exact limits on the amount weight that she can magnetically lift at present have not been measured. Since she has, in the past, preferred not to use her powers in combat situations, and has decades less experience with them, she is not up to par with Magneto's level of experience. As with Magneto, it is unknown whether Polaris's powers are purely psionic or whether they derive from her physically.

She then combined them all and synthesized a new meta-plague that would cause pneumonia, morbid diarrhea and sepsis. She was also capable to alter it to only affect humans, but not mutants. If it was released it could have wiped out humanity.
