Darkstar

Beginning:

Darkstar, also known as Laynia Petrovna, was born in Belarus, Russia and is the daughter of a Russian nuclear physicist Sergei Krylov and his wife, who were accidentally irradiated during an experiment. With the help of X-Men, the Soul Skinner was defeated. Later, after the exiles became the Siberforce, the Darkstar team witnessed an attack on Earth moon by intergalactic Starblasters, seeking the mysterious energy source known as the Starbrand. Investigating, Darkstar and his brother joined the cosmic Avenger Quasar and other space heroes as opposed to Starblasters. During the battle, Vanguard was killed by Threkker, which in turn was killed by a vengeful Darkstar. Returning to Earth, Darkstar was convinced by the presence of seeking revenge against Quasar, and together they attacked and apparently destroyed; however, Quasar was only pretending and using their quantum energy powers to fake his own death.

Maximum security and X-Men

Soon after, Darkstar was captured by former KGB General Tskarov, which sought to use his power in his plot to undermine the business along the east coast of the United States. Darkstar was rescued by other pawns of Tskarov, Ursa Major and Vanguard risen, and the trio teamed with Daredevil and Black Widow to stop the Tskarov plan. Later, Darkstar was one of several Russian heroes recruited for the Winter Guard team sponsored by the government, which soon found themselves defending their country against an invasion by the army of would-be conqueror Chinese the Mandarin . Darkstar Returns

When Reena Stancioff was killed and turned into a Dire Wraith. The original Darkstar used this opportunity and the connection he had with his medallion to resurrect itself in Reena's body. She has retained her mutant powers to their maximum level and once again integrates Winter Guard as a valiant member.

Powers and Abilities

The Darkstar mutant power allows you to have a divided consciousness between the physical body and a representation of the Dark Force the same, both symbiotically as psychically linked. This gives you control of the Dark Force, one extradimensional energy comprising an entire dimensional pocket, and giving it thus a number of superhuman abilities. Although able to use the Dark Force for various purposes, Darkstar usually causes it to behave as energy or matter.
