The LEGO Marvel Cinematic Universe, or LEGO MCU, is a brickfilm project headed by Max Carroll, based on the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe by Disney and Marvel Studios. The franchise is centered around a series of films based on the various Marvel super-heroes and villains. Such heroes include Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. There are also web series' as well, detailing the escapades of some of the low-tier and grounded characters. These include characters like Daredevil, Spider-Man (sharing concurrently in the film universe as well.), Moon Knight, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, the Punisher, and Venom.
The series, in spite of being based on the live-action films, is also heavily influenced by the various cartoons and animated series', particularly The Spectacular Spider-Man, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, and X-Men: The Animated Series.
