Early Years[]
Kurt Szardos Wagner (born April, 1985) was born as the result of an affair between the Brotherhood of Mutants members Azazel and Raven Darkholme, also known as Mystique. Though Kurt's birth was never intentional. It happened after the leader of the Brotherhood Magneto had tasked Raven with keeping tabs on Azazel, for he began constantly questioning Magneto leadership after the man had returned to the fold after a long hiatus from their Mutant related terrorist activities, and Magneto feared Azazel was plotting against him. So with that Raven covertly followed the man, until they both eventually stopped in a small town in the Bavarian Alps, located in Germany. Where Raven then shape-shifted and began blending in as a local town girl, after which she seduced Azazel. Though after a couple of months he realized the deception and fled, Raven not giving chase after discovering she was pregnant, and rather than get rid of the child she decided to have it instead. As well as raise it alongside her true lover Irene Adler, who had always wanted to have a child of her own to raise. So with that in mind Raven called for Irene to Bavaria and explained the circumstances of her pregnancy. The latter hardly caring, and instead only wanting to focus on a future with Raven and the child. However that changed after Kurt was born and it was revealed he had prominent physical Mutations such as blue skin, blue fur, pointed ears, yellow eyes, etc. Just like Raven when she was born.
As soon as the local villagers heard of Kurts' physical appearance they formed an angry mob to hunt him down and kill him. Forcing Irene and Raven to go on the run with him. Where although they successfully escaped Raven realized Kurt couldn't live normally, and since she did not want to bring a baby into the business of the Brotherhood, especially considering what Azazel might do if he learned Kurt was his son, Mystique did one of the hardest things she would ever had to do and gave Kurt up, placing him with a German traveling circus known as Jahrmarkt, who were known for housing people with physical mutations and differences. Knowing Kurt would blend right in. After this occured he was adopted by the circus owners themselves Christian Wagner and Margali Szardos. Who didn't hesitate to give him their names or a home.
