Korvac (Earth-5430)

One of the greatest Novas there ever was, Korvac was corrupted by power and banned from the Nova Corps by Irani Rael. Upon achieving his ultimate goal of exposing and bringing justice to the corruption of Rael, Korvac has relegated himself to self-exile as penance for the many actions and sins he has committed over time in order to save anyone else from participating and therefore sharing in his guilt. He currently possesses the power stone, making him a cosmic being of energy.

Biography

Early Life

Korvac, originally an anthropologist from the planet Hala, had a natural affinity for order as displayed by his meticulous reconstructions of ancient ruins. It was at one of these reconstructions that a wounded Nova, Prohl Gosgotha, crash landed. He gave his power who barely defeated the Nova's pursuer, a Skrull, at the cost of the very ruins he had restored. When Gosgotha requested his Nova force back after the battle so that it might keep him alive, Korvac instead allowed him to die and took his place. Irani Rael, unaware of his actions, allowed Korvac to become the Green Lantern for Region 167.
