- — Karnak
Early Years
Karnak Mander-Azur was born around the fall of 1977 as the second and youngest son of Inhuman priest-philosopher Mander and ocean biologist Azur as the married couple secretly operated on Earth in service of the Attilan Society. Karnak never properly meet his older brother, Triton as the latter was put into the Terrigen Mist when he was an infant, rendering him incapable of functioning outside an aquatic environment within Attilan. Nevertheless, it was Karnak's mother that gave the two siblings the opportunity to meet every once in a while.
However, the two would be eventually become separated by time as their parents pleaded to raise Karnak without Terrigen mutation, trying not to repeat the unexpected "mishap" that occurred with Triton, and had him enrolled in his father's seminary in the Tower of Wisdom, wherein he was practically raised, in studying different religious and philosophical teachings from different cultures on Earth and beyond (e.g. Kree) as well as being trained in various physical and mental disciplines until he was twenty one years old when he formally graduated from the seminary of the Tower of Wisdom. Karnak never truly got the time to pursue a dream or think of any desires of his liking mainly due to how the many philosophies which he developed had become the ultimate guideline in his way of living growing up, believing that concepts such as romantic & sexual love, materialistic goods, recreational adventures were not of his preferences to spend his life or something that he values compared to knowledge and wisdom, thus rendering the intellectuals of Attilan to consider Karnak as both one of the wisest (though controversial) as well as one of the greatest fighters these Inhumans have ever offered.
The Royal Adviser
Besides his older brother, Karnak had developed a few but fortified relationships with other members of the Royal Family such as his cousins, the future Royal Guard Captain Gorgon along with Princess Crystal. Unfortunately for the once peaceful family, Karnak's mother Azur was one of the notable casualties who died in an undersea attack resulting from an uprising attempt against the Inhuman Royal Family due to their radical grievances against the Attilan civilization's discriminatory caste system. Knowing how his father was grieving heavily for the losing their mother, he was encouraged to step down as the Magister of the Wisdom for a lengthy amount of time, passing it to a close associate, hoping that she would guide a young Karnak into succeeding as the Magister when in time, he would finally be prepared to accept the socially crucial role and responsibility onto his own hands.
In his long path to becoming Magister, Karnak was given the chance to be appointed as Black Bolt's royal adviser when he became the King of Attilan, as well as the source for the right answers to the rest of his family. Karnak was secretly relieved of such change in roles as he has grown to develop a far more different mentality and has unorthodox philosophies, believing to would be incompatible with him leading his father's traditional seminary. Unlike most of his teachers and mentors over the years, Karnak's skeptic, mostly pessimistic, yet realistic and constructive critical thinking that stood him out as the contemporary advisor to the Royal Family, as his decisions and advice of rationality had proven to be extremely progressive yet also be prudent if he saw it to be necessary in protecting the people of Attilan for its future in general.
Contemplating Earth
However, Karnak even became more open and mentally-flexible to encounters with the humans of Earth when Crystal became involved with the Fantastic Four, which subsequently got the Terran heroes visiting the Moon and meeting the rest of the Inhuman Royal Family. It was also given the fact that Karnak became skeptic on the Inhuman caste system, although he wasn't too vocal about it at the time, unlike his cousin Prince Maximus whom Karnak had eventually found out to be plotting a coup d'état against own his brother, King Black Bolt himself along with Queen Medusa by the early 2010s. Karnak was even mocked and tempted by Maximus for his hypocrisy of being unfavorable with the current Attilan system, which Karnak had sorrowfully admitted, but his loyalty led him into believing that a better solution could still be imposed instead of needless violence. Karnak then reaffirmed Maximus' madness when the he learned that the latter also tried to have his own brother Triton assassinated for remaining loyal to the King and Queen. The city of Attilan was almost destroyed following Maximus' uprising, but Karnak and the rest of the Royal Family had joined forces in time to thwart their unhinged relative and ultimately exile him on Earth, hoping he could reflect on his diabolical actions.
When Maximus mysteriously returned to Attilan and warned the rest of his family, he was revealed to have ran away from the Earth agency S.H.I.E.L.D., led by director Phil Coulson, who got himself and his team onto the city of Attilan. After warning the royal family about the incoming threat of the Skrull Empire, whose several ships have purposely landed on the surface of the Moon to find Inhumans, momentarily forming an alliance between the agency and the defenders of Attilan. After meeting with the Houses of Agon, S.H.I.E.L.D. offered them their help in ceasing the incoming approach of the Skrulls from destroying the city of Attilan, to which they hesitated on agreeing at first due to their historical relationship with humanity, before they were able to be convinced by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and fellow Inhuman, Daisy Johnson, believing that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intentions are to truly help the rest of their kind, instead of threatening them into extinction since the rise in the population of Inhumans on Earth has become more and more apparent which impulsively caught the attention of Karnak, his brother, and the royal family to look after their own.
It was the royal family's worthwhile time on Earth and the Attilans' diplomatic partnership with S.H.I.E.L.D. (somewhat representing the United States) and later peace-keeping mutants (mainly X-Men) that made Karnak realize how Inhumans aren't so alone in their world after all with their situation, discovering how much mutants were still being shunned and persecuted by some societies just as Inhumans had been feeling like immigrants once they set their foot on Earth. On his journey, Karnak freely traveled with his family in various locations on Earth wherein the roots of ancient and contemporary philosophy came from as he personally ventured for more knowledge which the Attilan archives had limited access to. Triton and Gorgon even became optimistic towards his almost unsmiling brother's development as they encouraged him to "live life a little more" by practically following the very philosophies he had learned, instead of merely just studying them liked he used to.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
Inhomo Supremis Physiology: Besides superhuman strength, Karnak possesses certain physical skills superior to those of human athletes. His Inhuman metabolism affords him slightly greater reaction time, endurance, and speed than the human race's most perfect physical specimen, Captain America. Through mental discipline, Karnak has gained the extrasensory ability to perceive the stress points, fracture planes, or weaknesses, physical or psychological, in all objects or persons around him. By striking and applying pressure at these points, he can split or shatter objects made of seemingly invincible substances or render insensate beings of far greater strength than him and could attain this state of awareness for extended periods of time. In this process, Karnak's enhanced mind could systemize an infinite number of details and assembles those details into a highly accurate probability assessment, harnessing what others saw as the mystical precognition.

Trivia
- Due to his mastery over martial arts, Karnak has beaten the likes of Iron Man, Human Torch, Wolverine, Black Widow and has fairly fought individuals such as Daredevil, Melinda May, Colleen Wing, and Taskmaster.
- As a passionate and undying philosopher, Karnak hated getting directly involved in politics, but has found it to be an extremely interesting social concept as it essentially kept civilizations moving forward for millions of years across the universe in a cycle of chaos and unification.
- Karnak and his family were of Asian descent, whose ancestors had joined as pioneers of the Inhuman Exodus to the Moon using leftover Kree tech on Earth, wherein they first built and strengthen the Attilan civilization.
- For a long time, Karnak believed that he could never find passionate love to be lastingly satisfying or fulfilling, believing that such feelings were for "less disciplined minds and softer hearts". Slowly becoming intimately close with his former "frenemy" Auran has only made him ponder at the past self, realizing how different the complex journey of life has molded him to the very man he was in the present.
