Kamala Khan grew up in the era of the reign of Apocalypse. However, her Inhuman DNA helped her survive the chaotic world she lived in. Her shapeshifting powers provided an excellent way to blend in, until she was tracked down by the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, Quake.
Quake convinced Kamala to join the Secret Warriors to fight against Apocalypse, and eventually the forces of Ultron as well. She adopted the name "Ms. Fantastic" in honor of the fallen Fantastic Four, her former favorite superheroes.
