History
Kaine Parker seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart.
Kaine's alternate form and the changes to his power set were the result of his body's reaction to both the Spider-Virus and its cure. While Araña kept the base powers, Kaine was resurrected as a human spider and thus wasn't so lucky.

Kaine transformed
After the events of the Spider-Pocalypse, Kaine stole the Spidey Stealth Suit. He discovered that Madame Web had modified the suit to resemble Ben Reilly's old costume. Due to an innate calling of responsibility, Kaine used the suit to save the life of Aracely Penalba while passing through Houston. When it was revealed that she would be deported, Kaine decide to take her under his protection and the two stayed in Houston.
Continuing his heroic exploits, the people would begin to call him the Scarlet Spider, much to Kaine's dismay. Despite his loner nature, Kaine made a small a group of friends. Unfortunately, the Kravinoff household kidnapped Kaine's new family. While he was able to rescue them, he came to the conclusion that they would continue to be in danger with him around. As Aracely was already being hunted before meeting him, Scarlet Spider decided to continue mentoring her as Hummingbird. Unfortunately, Kaine ended up being called away on multiple missions and didn't want to put her in harms way.
While hunting a rogue Ben Reilly, Scarlet Spider was confronted by Spider-Man. He told Kaine that he would deal with their brother and asked him to join Spider-Man Incorporated. Kaine initially declined, until he was informed they would reunite him with Aracely. Using The Forums, Miles Morales and Silk were able to set up a meeting between the two. While Aracely was hurt by Kaine abandoning her, she welcomed her back into her life with open arms. Much to Kaine's dismay, Peter warned him he might have to reconcile with a number of people, as he was being stationed in Houston.
