Early Years

Jordan Beck is the son of Daniel and Regina Beck, two scientists who work for Oscorp. As a kid, he read all the Spider-Man comics and became a big fan of Spider-Man, basically worshiping him as a leader and wanting to be exactly like him. On his fifteenth birthday, he ran off to the store for his birthday when he saw Spider-Man (twenty-nine year old Miles Morales) crash into a building, and being extremely excited, he went to see his life long hero. Spider-Man had been beaten nearly to death, though, but before his death, he gave Jordan a file clip of sorts and told him: "It's up to you now: You're the new Spider-Man." The last thing Spidey gave him was a syringe of his blood, and he told him, "If you take this, it will give you my powers, and when you do have them, use them for a good cause. NOW GO, before he comes..." From that day forward, Jordan took on the responsiblity of the Golden Spider.

After taking the powers and the task of being Spider-Man, he encountered the Next Avengers,Becoming a full member of the team while dating Torunn Thorsdóttir (Earth-61616)

• Azari simply wears a black leather trench coat over his Panther Habit as a way to "look cool," idolizing Nick Fury, and reveals that he only carried guns without bullets to intimidate criminals, believing that modern firearms outside Wakanda is and will always be "primitive," unless Wakanda helps the world out. Plus Azari doesn't know how to use one, other than any weapon his people has built.
