History[]

Early Years[]

Jonathan Franklin "John" Walker (born June, 1987) was the second child and second son of Emily Walker and Caleb Walker. The latter a Vietnam War veteran. Who just like many of Johns' paternal ancestors had decided to serve in the armed forces. A sort of unofficial tradition within the Walker family, dating back to the time of US Civil War.

Growing up hearing the stories of his ancestors patriotism filled John with a duty to serve when he came of age. But until then he enjoyed his childhood in his small but close-knit hometown of Custer's Grove, right alongside his best friend Lemar Hoskins. Who eventually helped him ask out a girl named Olivia in high school, who John married right after they graduated. But soon after his wedding occurred John and his family's received the news his elder brother Micheal, whom he looked up to greatly, had died while on a mission in Afghanistan. Since before John could take up the Walker tradition of military service Mike did instead, by enlisting and becoming an army helicopter pilot.

Devastated by his elder brothers death it just gave John one more reason to join the armed forces. So with that he applied, Lemar right alongside him, to West Point. Where after being accepted graduated at the top of his class. He then officially began his military career.

Outstanding Service[]

Shortly after joining the military John was sent to the US Army Ranger school, where after he completed his training went on to serve with honor and distinction, performing numerous acts of valor. Leading him to be the first person in American history to receive three Medals of Honor. He was also quickly promoted, reaching the rank of captain shortly before the Hydra Uprising took place in 2014. Where once it did John was assigned to a joint NATO taskforce created in response to these events. One that stayed active until after the events of the Ultimate Alliance War came to an end in 2016. After which John returned home.

Government Super-Soldier[]

A few weeks after John returned home he was tasked with dealing with an anti-nationalist/terrorist group that had appeared known as the Flag Smashers. During the course of his engagement with them he crossed paths with Captain America, Falcon, and Bucky Barnes. Who were intent on dealing with the group in their own manner, leading John and his team to clash with them. Since they had different orders from their superiors on how to handle the Smashers. Who eventually ended up killing Lemar. Enraged by this John took a vial of Super-Soldier serum he had stolen from the Flag Smashers, since they were super-soldiers themselves, and enhanced himself to get his revenge. Only to be stopped by Steve and the others. After which his superiors took him off the taskforce. But gave him a new assignment as the government newest Super-soldier agent. Also bestowing on Walker the codename U.S. Agent.

Becoming A Thunderbolt[]

Once he became U.S. Agent John was placed under the direct command of then U.S. Secretary of Defense, former army general Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, where he soon found himself working with the pro-registration faction led by Tony Stark, during the Superhuman Civil War that began in the late summer of 2016, arresting heroes and other superhuman's who refused to comply with the registration act.

Though once the war wound down, ending in the pro-registration forces victory, and the Secret Invasion by the Skrull's was defeated, John began working with the notorious hero/reformed villain team known as the Thunderbolts, who were now under the direct command and supervision of Walker then superior Ross, who had become the fearsome Red Hulk, as ordered by the new leader of the superhuman community the infamous Norman Osborn. Who had given Ross, and by extension the Thunderbolts, orders to continue to hunt down rogue superhumans and heroes. Which they did. But as this happened Walker, who had made assumptions about his new teammates, given what he knew about their pasts, found himself utterly surprised by their conduct. He then soon found them to be kindred spirits in a sense. So that's why John sided with the Thunderbolts and went rogue during the Siege and subsequent Battle of Asgard in the summer of 2017. After which John decided to remain as a member of the Thunderbolts.

Even with his new assignment. Which turned out to be warden of the supherhuman prison known as The Raft. Where his new teammates and friends had created a base. So Walker could now attend to both his careers with no troubles.
