Early Years[]
Jonathan Lowell Spencer "Johnny" Storm (born August, 1986) was the second child and only son of renowned physician and scientist doctor Franklin Storm, and his wife Mary Storm. A brilliant scientist in her own right. As well as the younger brother of Susan Storm. Who unlike him inherited the genius of their parents. Not to mention as the youngest of the family he was coddled and basically given everything he ever wanted or asked for in his life. Even when his mother died in a car accident and his father started drinking and gambling afterwards, forcing him and Susan to go and live with their aunt Marygay Dinkins for a time until their father got himself together, Johnny still did not have any great responsibility thrust upon him. In fact Susan became even more overprotective of him, despite having her own dreams and ambitions. But at the same time she also started to scold him, and attempted to take the place of their mother as his disciplinarian. Which Johnny hated with a passion. Still, he loved his sister no matter what. Even so that didn't make the pain of losing their mother any easier. Which it things even more ironic as while coping with her death Johnny became drawn to automobiles, despite his mother dying in a car accident, and became quite a mechanic at a young age. It also eventually turned him down the path of street racing.
Then after Susan went off to college, and with his father busy running the government funded think-tank Baxter Building, the young storm became even more aimless and directionless. Moving from one job to the next. Some of which included musician, underwear model, and even acting.Though he always stuck with mechanics and street racing. The latter of which caused Johnny to get himself injured in a race one night. Which in the aftermath his father put his foot down and took away his car. He then tried to teach him responsibility by having him assist his sister and her colleagues at the Baxter Building with the teleportation project conceived by one of its star employees, Reed Richards.
Fantastic Powers[]
Joining the teleportation project main team, although quite reluctantly, Johnny found himself working alongside his sister Susan, her ex-boyfriend Victor Von Doom, the man who created the project himself, Reed Richards, and finally Reed best friend, Benjamin Grimm, who Reed had requested join the project, despite not being affiliated with the Baxter Building. Of which Johnny father approved. Once this occurred the group of five worked tirelessly, until finally they completed the inter-dimensional teleportation device in 2005. After which Johnny, his sister, and their colleagues, were the first to test it, and in doing so ended up in an anti-matter dimension, which in the future they would all come to know was known as the Negative Zone. Where immediately upon arrival they were bombarded by cosmic rays from a cosmic storm. Forcing the group to immediately return to Earth. But in the process Victor was left behind, no matter how much Johnny and the others tried to save him.
Shortly after returning to Earth Johnny and the others found themselves utterly shocked, as they discovered the cosmic rays they got hit with in the Negative Zone had altered all their physiologies, gifting each of them with unique and fantastic powers. Which in Johnny case gave him the ability to manipulate flames and heat energy. A thing that excited the young man as he and the others worked to get a handle on their powers, while his father and the rest of the Baxter Building worked to keep Johnny and the others from being taken by the military. Though that never came to pass, as the following year Johnny and the others became heroes in many eyes, after they used their powers to defeat Victor Von Doom, who turned out to be alive, but was now calling himself Doctor Doom, and seeking revenge against Johnny and the others, since Victor thought they purposefully left him behind in the Negative Zone to kill him. No matter how much they denied it.
After defeating Victor, and being called heroes, Johnny and the others decided to become just that. So joining together they created the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four.

Pyrogenesis: During his first expedition to the Negative Zone Johnny was bombarded by cosmic rays, which altered his physiology and gifted him with the mental ability to control ambient heat energy and the physical ability to transform his entire body, or portions of his body into a fiery, plasma-like state of will. Another favorable mutagenic change is his cells' ability to utilize this extra energy by converting it into a moderate-density, plasma-like state that is regulated by a subconscious mental field and can be modified by an act of will. When sufficient quantities of energy are consumed, the Torch unavoidably reverts to his solid state.

- Shortly after learning the nature of his powers Johnny created the catchphrase "Flame On!"
- What most people don't know is that Johnny catchphrase, in addition to just sounding cool to him, was also a mental trigger to help him turn his powers on and off, due to the fact he couldn't control them.
- During his teenage years Johnny found himself slightly attracted to men, but ignored it and continued to date only women, until reaching his twenties, where he then began truly exploring his sexuality and eventually found himself in relationships with the likes of Bobby Drake, and other men, but he still continued to date women like Crystal. But it wasn't until he began dating Namorita that he realized he chose his lovers based simply on attraction and not sexual orientation, like Namorita herself. Allowing him to realize he was pansexual by the 2020's.
- Despite having no formal business education Johnny is quite successful in managing the Four's finances and regularly makes smart investments.
- Due to the nature of his powers, which burns away any sort of dirt or germs when he flames on, Johnny does not need to bathe, shower, or attend to most other personal hygiene needs unless he wants to do so.
- Johnny is naturally gifted in engineering, and has even been able to figure out experimental and alien technologies on his own.
- Johnny developed a slight case of aquaphobia after obtaining his powers, but has since resolved the issue.
