John and I constantly butt heads. He has no respect for my authority, but U.S.Agent is no less dedicated to stopping Doom than I am.
History
John Walker seemingly had a similar history as his Earth-616 counterpart. Inspired by his older brother, he decided he wanted to be a hero and joined the armed forces. Through his connections he made, John was approached by a shady business and offered superhuman abilities. Accepting, John opted to become a superhero similar to Captain America called Super-Patriot. Despite this influence, John believed Steve's morals to be outdated.
During a period where Rogers resigned as Captain America, John was appointed to take his place. John was quickly reminded; however, that his ideals clashed with what was expected of Captain America. He quit the role and was able to successfully convince Steve to once again don the stripes. Instead of returning to Super-Patriot, John took on a new codename, U.S.Agent.
U.S.Agent was among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift and recruited by War Machine into the Avengers Alliance to oppose the reality's tyrannical ruler: God Emperor Doom. John didn't find James to be a fit leader, leading to many arguments between the two.
