History
John Jameson was born to J. Jonah and Joan Jameson. His father being a reporter who worked at the newspaper called the Daily Bugle. Under his father's tutelage John Jameson became what his parents called "the perfect child". He was well behaved, was a football player, got good grades, and was even an Eagle Scout. When he was a kid however his father was on the case of trying to find out information about a young up and coming mobster known as the Big Man, eventually getting a lead on one of his gambling fronts and underlings. A criminal called Blackie Gaxton. Not wanting it to be taken down he confronted Jonah one night by the Big Man in his office alongside his minions called the Enforcers. He threatened Jonah to not run the story about Gaxton or else he would pay. Jonah did not know what to do. His close friend (who was also John's godfather and a fellow worker at teh Daily Bugle) Frederick Foswell told Jonah to not run the story for his family's safety, but Joan told him to run it, that nothing would be done to stop bad people if they scared everyone into submission. A few days after the story was run however he got a call that his wife had been found dead in their home. Jonah was unsure of the circumstances, but knew that the man behind the crime had to be the Big Man. From that day on he became a much more bitter man and became venomous to all maskwearers, or rather those with secret identities. John was disheartened by what happened to his family, but tried living as stable of a life as possible. When he was older he eventually went to the police academy. Because of what happened to his mother he wanted to take up an occupation that would take down criminals like the one who killed his mother. Jonah was proud of his son for the occupation he chose, calling him a real and upfront hero. He served under Captain George Stacy, eventually starting a romantic relationship with one of his daughters named Felicia.
Eventually a new gang led by a pair of brothers named Carlos and Eduardo Lobo emerged in New York, and John began investigating them. Learning that their gang was comprised of werewolves, and were fighting against a gang of vampires led by Michael Morbius. Eventually John took a SWAT team in during one of their gang fights. During the battle John managed to kill Eduardo putting Carlos into a rage. He and John got into a struggle, where John got bitten and badly injured. Before Carlos could finish him off his old girlfriend Felicia (at this point turned into a vampire by Morbius) got into Carlos' way and engaged him in combat while Spider-Man arrived and managed to take John to safety. Carlos got the uperhand against Felicia until Morbius got in his path and dispatched him.
The confrontation put John in the hospital for weeks, and one of those nights was a full moon, and thus he turned into a werewolf and violently broke out of the hospital. Spider-Man was on patrol at the time and did battle with him, and eventually managed to keep him busy until dawn when he turned back into his human form. Spider-Man brough John to safety and they discussed what to do about their current situation. He was eventually brought to the Midnight Sons, where one of its members called Werewolf by Night mentored John in the ways of being a werewolf. Afterwards John decided to use his newfound powers to help fight crime. His new persona came to be known as the Man-Wolf.
